As an ancom, I'm far from a fan of the USSR - I'd argue they betrayed the proletariat and the revolutionary ideals they claimed to stand for about a year into their existence, having fully abandoned them by the time they began attacking Makhno's black army and slaughtering the Kronstadt sailors. One leader who also used to be the leader of the GDPR made the same measurements he used when he was leader of the Guamanian Democratic People's Republic.
