I cannot believe you’re up to save 177 in the Beauclair family! I was over here feeling proud that my family has lasted 34 saves. It is promising to see that the Regul Save Cleaner has helped your sims survive that long.

34 is a lot! i was shook the first time i ran the save cleaner on the beauclairs it decreased the size by like 50% it was wild

u can set the ram limit at setting its the one cause error 12

With this mod, it brought the size of my save files down 80% on the first go. What a life saver.

also save as with no special characters or long save names. No spaces, you could use "_" if needed to space, but this helps as well! also thank you for Regul Save Cleaner, I was so tired of clearing cache files!

😢 without names, I won't remember if this is a starting save (for example, I have now created a starting save for Sunset Valley with renovations of some lots from Tedhi)

Thanks for the tips! I also copy and rename the Current Game folder into my Saves if I haven't saved in a while (and if the game is still open) the handful of times I've gotten Error 12 in recent years - because sometimes it will be an updated "save" in itself. Most of the time it is and then I don't lose aaall of my progress. Other times it isn't. 😝

Si esto me sirve, podre salvar a todo mi barrio que literal he alimentado durante 5 años, modificando lotes de la universidad, China, Francia y Egipto... Ahora hacienden mis más de 25 familias desarrolladas a un árbol genealógico de 5 generaciones... Gracias por esto!

I cant wait to try it. I usually end up backing up sims individually, and then just start up a brand new world (I'm insane). I do save as too. I do a fresh, fresh map after cleaning my sims' inventory. I do throw out older save files too. I do it after getting to certain stages in my sims' life.

i didnt even know my save file was like 1500+ mb until tonight at 2 am :D??????? you saved my sanity during my finals w your series and NOW you saved my laptop from me punching it lol. death, to all of errors, esp error 12. it is overall a great pleasure to stumble on your channel. if you stop making vids im going straight to asylum no jokes❤❤

Just a warning. If you decide to reset the entire town, make sure noone has an imaginary friend doll in their inventory or they will glitch out and I'm not sure if that will have an impact on your game or not.

i know town resets are important but for me almost every time i reset everything every sim in my town loses family relations 😭 when i first noticed it i had to manually connect everyone again because all of sudden my triplets weren’t even related

Unfortunately i still experience error 12 and Regul only seems to make save a few percents smaller. I am only generation 5

I only have been getting this error since I went to a laptop, my old desktop I could play for hours without it crashing and without the error. I think laptops make a big difference.

when i try to open regul application it says i need to extract files and when i try to it says 1 interrupted action and wont let me extract anything

Bruh tell me how I'm getting this in my 3rd dang generation =_= I think it's cuz I moved them to this big fancy house with tons of decor AND I have all of the stuff from tombs :( I was hoping that doing another resetsim * and then resetting everything would help, then when I saved the game crashed ;-; sigh. Guess now I can use Regul.

Hi, I have a question. So I’ve downloaded the Regul mod, and I just as we speak for the Error Code 12 pop up, at what point do I use the mod? Is it when the error pops up? If you could help me if greatly appreciate it ❤️

ahh! I got the regul mod when I started having error 12s too. I used it on my problem save file and immediately it reduced the save file size by about 50%, and I haven’t had any error 12s since then. So I think you could just run it like normal (make backups for sure) and hopefully it helps with the error messages! 🤞

@@NotMalcolm thank you! Were you playing a custom world when getting the error? I got it I think last week and again last night, I was playing Brooklyn Heights but I accidentally deleted my save after error code 12 lol now I’m starting over in Bridgeport once I clean up the vampires LOL

QUESTION!!!! Plsss Whenever I launch my sims 3 I get pass the main menu, I start to load the game but it closes out & I'm unable to play! What do you suggest? I've tried everything! I've cleaned my launcher, ive updated to the EA App, I've uninstalled mods im losing my mind! Please help lol, I've even "repaired" the game

i'd recommend making a fresh sims 3 folder like suggested by someone else as well. all you have to do is move your current sims folder out from Electronic Arts, you can just put it on the desktop. then you try starting up sims again, which should then automatically create a completely new Sims 3 folder under EA. this 'trick' helped me when my game suddenly wouldn't accept that i'd installed the world sunlit tides - but works fine now, so far lol

make sure you deleted a huge bulk! my first cleanse didnt do a thing until i chose to delete photos (on that regul's setting) too lol. it reduced from 1400 something to only 175 mbs. i never saw a game run smoother 🎉 i hope you already figured this out though just wanted to lyk
