than e1e2e3 would be 110, convert it to decimal you get 6. meaning you have an error at 6th place.

Error=e3e2e1 =011 corresponding decimal number is 3 .. so the error it bit position 3

check and skip technique is used for e1 {1,3,5,7.....} where 2468 etc... are skiped for e2 {2,3,,6,7,,10,11,,.....} in this 45,89..... etc similarly for e3 this skips four numbers in between starting with 3rd parity number in our case its "4" hope u understand my friend .....>>

Okk i have solved this ques.... I can explain u in short... 1. We will require 5 parity bits at position 1,2,4,8,16.... Because the total length of the msg is 13+5 = 18... I got 5 parity bits by the formula 2^p > p+m where p is no. Of parity bits... 2. Then for calculating i have considered even parity and hence P1 = 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17 P2 = 2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15,18 P3 = 4,5,6,7,12,13,14,15 P4 = 8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15 P5 = 16,17,18 HENCE final msg will be 110101101001011001
