the show would have ended within 10 episodes if it wasn’t up for Armin’s spontaneous strategic prowess. Armin has saved them all, especially Eren, more times than they can count. sorry but Armin absolutely deserved the vial, there is only so many people that Erwin can charisma his way to potential suicide missions

This whole arc in the manga has inspirations from the game “life is strange” where the protagonist has to decide what she sacrifices, her lover or the entire town In this case, Levi sacrifices the humanity and saves Erwin, saves him from that hell they were all living, everybody was seeing Erwin like this demon, a weapon and not like a human being, Levi himself says he chose to let Erwin rest based on his own personal feelings, even knowing that would condemn them all in the future, so yes, Floch definitely plays an important part in Levi’s decision, making him think clearly what was the best for Erwin

btw if there were two injections, who do y'all think would've gotten the armored and who do you think would've gotten the colossal? its weird but ever since that episode I was always sure the reason they didn't got rid of Reiner too was bc -writer favoritism- they kept discussing instead of taking action ( Although I guess in the long run killing Reiner would've fcked it up since he helped out). If there was more than one injection, to this damn day I'm still sure they could've gotten both before Pieck bailed everyone out

@@TemplodeDeus7 There was no really good option but the one that involves the least horrendousness is I think the limited Rumbling on Marley. They can target Marley's military only, not targeting civilians, and this would enable them to have access to Marley tech/science if they commit to a hostile takeover of Marley with the Rumbling as leverage against any Marley-allied nations. Note I am saying they should take over Marley, not just destroy it. We the audience were shown that Marley was something of an evil empire, so their taking it over to then broadcast to the world their REAL story, explaining how the Rumbling was used in self defense and will only be used in self defense. If they rule Marley with benevolence, eventually some of the world will have to recognize the truth and they should gain some allies long before 50 years, once again remembering that many countries hated Marley. In this way they can become a real player on the world stage while avoiding genocide

It wasn't for bad writing Eren wouldn't be convinced to start or stop the rumbling. So that was inevitable.

ahh well imo the most powerful reveal in aot was when Grisha's photo revealed that humanity outside the walls hadn't perished. They were in fact not alone which quickstarted the entirety of season 4. Erwin actually guessed this but never got confirmation :( literally died right before everything he worked for was proven and that he was right all along

(Spoiler alerts if you haven't watched the show please don't read as I may unintentionally spoil some plot points) Erwin's father was a history teacher and in one of his classes Erwin asked how they could be certain that humanity was extinct outside the walls.Later in private his father explained to him that the history books were produced by the government and full of contradictions but he had to teach it anyways.Later Erwins father had a suspicious death shortly after this. So from that Erwin concluded that the government narrative wasn't the full truth. ((Also his final words involved him asking his father how are we sure humanity is extinct causing him to toss his arm out and stop Levi))

Erwin: • knew Titans are humans. Existence of eren confirmed it. • knew other Titans exist and figured attack on shiganshina was by external enemies. • knew that the enemies have infiltrated army. • knew that the enemies will join the corps and get distributed and thus lured them in the forest. • knew that the king wiped out memories of eldians. His father being disposed off confirmed it. • knew that the king is not the one actually at the throne and carried out a coup. • knew that outside world exists. Armin figuring out the identity of a blonde girl doesn't even matter in this. Erwin was playing the big game. Armin was just a pawn. And frankly even without him Annie would have been killed.

He knew form childhood that there was humanity beyond the walls and figured out that humans were in fact controlling the armoured titan and the colossal, he then set up season 2 and 3 basically on his own

Now we're all left wondering what would've become of everyone had Erwin survived
