We've changed the name of our game. Hear why and what this means from founder and Creative Director Ash Habib in the video.
The name eSports Boxing Club (ESBC) has probably been the only constant throughout the development journey of the game, and it's the name hundreds of thousands of you have grown familiar with. The game and the studio have developed and changed over the past two and a half years from a fun side project started by three brothers eager for a new boxing game, to a truly authentic boxing game with the likes of Canelo, Fury, and Ali on the roster and a team of 30+ people working to deliver it. We think now is the right time to reflect that with the changing of the name.

Good change. Obviously ESBC grew on everyone because it's what it has been called from the beginning (for us fans anyway), and so there is a feeling of identity change that makes me a little averse to the new name, but Undisputed of course makes sense for a boxing game, albeit a more "generic" title. But good of you to whisk away that doubt about the online nature of the game. At the end of the day, it's the game this is all about, and I'm excited either way.

Nothing wrong with generic if it's still effective! The title "Undisputed" still evokes potent vibes for me. I only learned this game existed a month ago, and I mean no disrespect, but I gotta admit, the name "eSports Boxing Club" rang kinda silly-sounding in my head. Without an attachment to the old name, this is a very welcome change!

This game isn't even out yet and the community is already toxic. The developers are taking their time because they care about the sport of boxing and don't want to put out Cyberpunk Part 2: V Goes West. Give them the time they need.

Not sure if it's confirmed but hopefully they add fight cards similar to the UFC series so that we can make custom shows. Hate where in Fight Night you'd have to make fights one by one without a card

In my opinion ESBC sounds way better. It has its own distinct sound to it like even when people say UFC for example it sounds great. Undisputed makes sense because of the game but i still feel ESBC sounds a lot better

I prefer the name but just now when I tried to look up "Undisputed" on KZfaq, the only thing that came up was the Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe show, couldn't even find this game without searching ESBC. There was also a UFC game named Undisputed in the past too. No idea whether this is relevant or not, perhaps as more videos continue to come out from this channel the game will start to pop up in the search results. I'm sure this was thought through when they changed the name, hopefully anyway.

I was about to say that, Kyren. Am I the only one that did not like the change? It's too generic imo. There are already movies called Undisputed, this TV show you mentioned, UFC Undisputed which is already a game as well, it kinda makes it a bit harder to search for it or exactly know what it is about just by the name. It does suit the sport in a way, but I'd have tough more about it and changed to something else maybe.

The name is too one dimensional and generic, Undisputed has already been used multiple times as you’ve pointed out, I also tried to look it up and came up with movies and different titles to undisputed. The only way I found the channel again was typing in ESBC. Personally it would’ve been fine as E-Sports Boxing without the club part or E-Sports Boxing Champions sounds much better.

Online game play request: Build in - If a player exits a match prior to a KO or decision then that player receives a DQ and the other player receives a No Contest Win. This way prior to accepting a match players can see those who have a high DQ count are the players that tend to bale out on fights. Also a DQ will factor in their fight totals which will reduce their winning percentage. Hopefully this will reduce the number of fighters baling on fights or at least exposing those who do it so they can be avoided. Your thoughts?

Outstanding work but I have to ask this question. Where is the Ref? There should be some clinches during the heavier exchange between fighters allowing Ref animations + instructions to follow, Ref says "Break, Punch out, Continue, Stop holding, I am going to deduct a point, Final Warning, You want to continue?, Move to my Left Now my Right, Keep the punches Up, Low blow, Cut caused by an accidental head butt, 10 seconds!!!, Last round, Fight like Champions, Wrong Corner, Time out!!!, Cleanup the corner, Blue/Red Corner... 1 Point!! etc. If you are beating your opponent badly don't you need a Ref to quickly + franticly slide in-between boxers to stop the fight? A Ref is absolutely super vital to the realistic feel to a boxing game. Go all out!!!

I hope they have been working on the arm's reaction when hitting the face/ body and the Face's/ body's reaction when being hit. Like a wave that travels down to the fist. Won't you agree? Check the BIVOL - CANELO in slow motion. When BIVOL hits CANELO's face, you can see the wave traveling down BIVOL's right punch! Keep up the good work!
