I guess everyone has different opinions and we should respect that, just one thing. A woman can choose to be sexy in a song, even if she has a great voice. She decided to wear that, she auditioned to sing the song.

This is probably the only reaction of this performance I’ve seen that is so overly and unfairly critical. We don’t get that much of this type of music here in Europe so it doesn’t sound that generic to us. For you to say that this is too sexualised is preposterous! She’s covered head to toe! The choreography has its sexy moments but please... have we watched the same video? In the same breath you love male dancer’s shirts hmmm the non existing ones. I guess a woman can never win. And can we talk about the fact that is her debut and that she killed it vocally while slaying the choreography not mentioning the charisma, facial expressions and staging. I don't usually comment, but after watching this video I couldn't resist. First of all, it's funny how you try to justify your rude comments by saying that they have nothing to do with the country but with the song, although you have to remember that music is closely related to culture... Besides, you can't judge what a woman can do on stage or how she should dress. Things can be said in many ways. I have definitely wasted my time watching rude and arrogant people.

About the second girls opinion, saying that ‘the stage presence and the dancing were the best part of the song, which shouldn’t be the case’, I will like to offer a reflexion on how Eurovision has traditionally worked… The thing is that, for most of the viewers, the final contest was the first time they had ever listened to the whole set of songs. (Now it is, maybe, slightly different because of the internet). But, generally, in order to win you needed: 1. A song that people like the first time they listen to it (a song that grows on you, the more times you listen to it, doesn’t make the cut) 2. A performance that people can remember after listening to 40 different songs and that stands up between them. That’s why delivering an outstanding performance is crucial for winning Eurovision. Love from Spain 🇪🇸

You can like it, or not. But what she did on the stage is so complicated. Singing and dancing (this way) at the same time... It's not for everyone. Eleni is amazing. Chanel is amazing too. But they performances are different. Both are singing and dancing, but that's all. Not every singer that sings ballads have the same performance (and we don't compare them all the time). Everyone is free to like or dislike anything, but you can always be constructive when providing feedback. It could have been better if you would have approached your views from: "we don't enjoy dance music, but leaving that aside, we are going to talk about the things that we like and appreciate from this performance. And this is how we think it could be better in the grand final", but we got none of that. No positives. That is why people that enjoyed Chanel's performance were put off by this video, me included. You said that Chanel lacks vocal range and she is compensating with a sexy outfit. You don't like the outfit because it is... too provocative? But did you like Eleni Foureira's outfit? (Cause you compliment her a few times.) And at the same time you are complementing the male dancers' outfit. Where is this prejudice coming from? At no point you mention that she is dancing her booty off for 3 minutes without being out of breath, or sounding sharp or pitchy. But then you mention that she sounds tired by the end. (She doesn't). This performance is anything but boring, but you found it boring even though Eurovision has never seen a choreography of the caliber of this performance, not even Eleni Foureira's Fuego comes close to this. First the performance of Chanel was perfect. From start to finish it was a spectacle to watch. Remember that dancing and singing is very difficult at the same time and she made it seem like something very normal. I loved the show. We can't all have the same taste when it comes to music, but your comments were extremely rude and showed little respect for the artist. You sat there like a bunch of spoiled toddlers who didn't get their way and so comment on everything. You did not comment on the entire performance, what you were good at was to bash a strong woman in my eyes because of her choice of clothing. Maybe you should have read more before commenting on that. In her clothing you could see references to Spanish culture. The Bolero jacket for example. Well, besides the Czech Republic I haven’t been very enthusiastic about the other entries you have covered so far. But this I love. It was my preferred song when they were all released and went straight on my playlists then. That this performance then turned out to be fantastic is just a bonus. Great choreography very well executed and a surprisingly stable vocal. Especially the runs after the dance break. So I don’t know what a lot of people are on about. It’s a great song. And frankly I felt the same way about Fuego. Before I saw her live. Great choice and an instant classic for me. I was underwhelmed by the other Spanish hopefuls to be honest. They were fine but not for me. Tastes differ I suppose but this has my vote.

Parece q sigue siendo sucio que una mujer muestre su sensualidad y feminidad en una puesta en escena, se sexualiza y banaliza, no veo q tiene de malo, es parte de la fuerza de este tema, puede q no sea una canción y voz destacable pero canta bien, afina, sincroniza, baila a la vez, y con nivel pro, lo q hace q se compensen unas cosas con otras y me parece una actuación digna de quedar entre los cincos primeros puestos. When we talk about Euro vision in general, we are looking into a catchy tune, or a melody that remain in our heart. This year I only have that feeling with Armenia and Spain. Both songs catch your eye for a good melody (Rosa) and the hooks of Chanel. I don't agree with the boredom there, and the votes were very clear about it. There is not a second lost, nor in the lyrics or performance wise. Is a change for Spain entry, to feature latin-dance flavour, and a lyric with a certain "spanglish" feeling, which is sexy and fun.

I had to stop watching this video in the middle of boredom...

I mean, they can't blame those juries, like Chanel basically had Leroy as their Producer and songwriter and then there's Kyle Hanagami as her choreographer/manger/everything, which is the world's most sought after choreographer. If Chanel did not represent Spain, I don't think Spain would reach as high as Chanel did.

Channel was absolutely perfect and her performance in the final was mesmerizing and amazing. She can sing, she has charisma, smiles, she can dance, she has energy, confidence.. I am a woman and Im proud of her performance, and the rest of dancers were fantastic.
