This is one of the best songs this year. I always liked it but it took me a minute to fully get into it but… this is so good. He sings like he means it and there’s no way the juries are not going to reward this. I can see viewers sending France some love as well… although probably not quite enough to achieve a win this year. But great song and an instant classic.

So by reading the lyrics, the song is about a man who regrets his lost love. She doesn't respond, he knows he's been wrong, regrets, and asks if she feels the love he actually feels but she won't answer. He wants her back and he's confused.

I love this gorgeous song, and there are SO many different videos of him singing live in many different places. His voice is always perfect, the passion cannot be matched, and there are even versions that go a capella!!! I hope you check out other versions. I know you will be impressed.

"Electronic Dutch Music" Oh that had me laughing so much because just a few days ago I watched a Dutch KZfaqr who is having his friends react to Eurovision songs and when they got to this year's song from The Netherlands and it gets to the EDM/dancy sounding part of the song nearer the end, so many of them were like "This part is so very Dutch!" and either loved or hated it. LOL

Carlena's take on the lyrics being potentially problematic cracked me up. She's really taking advantage of the English subtitles. She's not wrong, though...it's entirely unclear from the lyrics if the relationship is stalker-y or reciprocated. Overall the song is...fine. I think it will at least stand out, since this year is dominated by up tempo songs...and Slimane is a very talented vocalist l. I don't love the tone of his falsetto...it's pretty thin and reedy sounding to me...but his lower register is very smooth and rich - absolutely lovely.

It's a great song, my personal #1/2, and now that all the songs are out, I think this is guaranteed top 10 with a potential winning chance if the stars align in the televote. That being said, no mention of Fulenn? They send Voila, get 2nd, and then send Fulenn and Evidement, two non-ballads, in a row. I think you'd also be hard pressed to consider Roi or Mercy typical ballads. Also, who can forget Mustache? I think France is a little more diverse than you remember.

I don't know who you four individuals are but surely not professional music critics although that seems what you lead us all to believe. Your review is condescending and disrespectful to say the least. Not just to the artisit but also to those who enjoy this song. I can't say that i relate to the lyrics myself but i can see how some people will. Terms like creepy or stalker are not terms that music professionals would use when reviewing a song. If you can't create objective and respectful music reviews, then you should abstain. I will most certainly not watch your reviews of the other eurovision entries.
