I drove with my husband and family from NC to FL... almost 12 hrs and that super cruise was THE BEST!! I barely touch that steering wheel and I did the whole driving chilling with my family, eating snacks and just watching the road. It was amazing! ♥

Nice review , waiting for mine to be built next month,platinum edition. Honestly there is nothing out there that has the menis look that the black escalade has. Yes we all know the the Bmw or Mersedes are built better but they do not stand out like the escalade. Also super cruise it unbelivable. Good luck.

M-B built better? They are ranked 29th in reliability just ahead of bottom feeder Chrysler. For the money M-Bs are a disaster. As for the Beemer, it would fit in the ESVs cargo area. No contest.

These days not even Rolls Royce competes with the escalade. I personally, would go with the Platinum version because it looks more sleek, more minimalist design, you get everything the V has, and you also get more range.

Yea the platinum is definitely a better value than the V. I’m not convinced $75k more for a supercharger and suspension and brakes is worth it.

I agree with the color option with colors in the interior is so bland for the prices. Land Rover, BMW and MB give you some better options. They should have optional wheels also like the CT5V.

As someone who has a radiant red metallic V on the way-I object to the characterization of it being maroon…. I bought it because it is best described as Crimson, and as an Alabama fan-this is important! It is most definitely not maroon.

What is the gas mileage like on those long trips? How often did you have to stop for gas? Did u find it annoying?

- highway mileage was nearing 19/20. And the tank isn’t as big as you’d expect for a car this size so refueling every 350 miles on highway and like 290 city. It’s slightly annoying but it’s the price you pay for this much speed and comfort and noise.

That gas mileage is better than my dodge ram megacab with a hemi ans you have a lot more HP. I'd say it's a win still lol. My truck is lifted but still.

Bet you’d get better than 13.6 MPG without all the full throttle launches 🤣 The next 3K miles will be better I’m sure

These things sound so good stock. I can honestly say all of GMs new performance vehicles don’t need an aftermarket exhaust especially these Escalade Vs

Will supercruise come to a stop for a red light and then speed back up to set / highway speed without intervention from the driver?

Negative, I’ve found it only works on major highways. Now it will come to a stop and take back off without driver intervention, but so far only on a highway

Where they messed up is on the headlights. The headlights are too small for a truck. It looks out of proportion.

They wouldn’t of made a V model if it was for old people. You don’t have to be rich to own an Escalade. The only vehicle made for old rich people is rolls-Royce.
