Derrick, ( if you ever read this) I must tell you how moved and impressed I am that your 13 employees made the move to remain in your employ. If that is not an exemplary character reference then I don't know what is. Having said that, I could not imagine buying product from anyone else. It was a great pleasure to watch this video as it goes straight to the heart of what makes our lives more enriched when we put forth the better side of humanity. I believe in karma because it works on the fundamental level and contains no secrets...do unto others ( you know the rest). Thank you and God bless.

I love it! Derrick seems like a great guy, and learning that all of his employees cared about him so much to move from Oregon to Michigan speaks volumes in my eyes! Seems like loyalty is very important to these guys which is something I can really get behind. It's such a rare thing these days but it's always something to admire when you encounter it.

Never thought there store was that big. It's nice to know that I am not the only one that gets lost sometimes. A very nice video, enjoyed a lot. Glad to see the people that work there and the one I talk to when I call sometimes.

This is one of those videos where i scratch my head and ask myself how I've missed it for so long. Great tour and talk with Derrick. Since I've gotten into the custom and semi-custom knife" addiction" all my purchases have been from KSF except for two...older models that I had to do some serious searching to find. They all do good work at KSF.

Excellent tour, my last couple of CRKs came from KSF and I'm happy to support the business - putting people and names to the organization makes a huge difference. Interesting on Tyler, he sounded so much older on the phone :) Again, the Escanaba trip has been a joy to watch.

Great video! I really enjoyed that. Interesting to know that Derrick sold the Scagal trademark awhile back, I did not know that. Looks like they've got plenty of elbow room there at the new Michigan shop. And oh, what a COOL story about all of Derrick's help making the move with Derrick. I bet that WAS one of his most humbling experiences. You know they've GOT to be like family! Glad ya made it home safely. Thanks Rob!

Pretty cool to see what my favorite website looks like on the inside. Wish Southern California had a knife store where I could actually touch and handle all the cream of the crop knives before making a decision!

Fascinating video, Derrick comes over as a pretty cool guy and the fact his whole workforce moved with him... who does that, in this day and age?! Particularly interesting to see the work that goes into the video and photography.

You need to go back in the spring to see what they think of a Michigan winter.

BTW: Thanks to Heidi for the extremely fast shipping of my new LT Wright - Gary Wines Bushcrafter (seems like I ordered and the next thing I knew, a letter carrier was knocking on my door with the product).

What a loss, now threee years later and Derrick is dead ! God bless his employee's and his family, what a loss to all of us and the world.

I've been kinda exclusively buying from this store(aside from some used instagram deals) since I got my first GEC maybe 5 months ago. Cool to see what's going on there. grabbed my first lefty Chris Reeve from them. Favorite place to buy online nowadays.

So many knives - I can imagine walking into the store with 6 to 8 000 dollars and leaving with 25 cents and the biggest smile.
