Listened to the entire album front to back last night, and this tops Chemical Warfare by a mile. Last album had a few good songs, but nearly every song on this one is great. The guitar work, the vocals, the mixing, the VIBES. Choke is such a villain song, I love it. It's all so satisfying. I'm HELLA proud of you guys, you've outdone yourself

Best album of 2023. Escape the Fate is my favorite band since 2008. The band that got me started on metal music. This war is ours album is one of the most important works of my childhood. I hope you continue to make music for many years. I would like to listen to your works without getting bored until I die. By the way, I'm looking forward to This war is ours remastered.

este álbum arrastra el mismo problema que chemical warfare la "sobreproduccion" aunque en este álbum la verdad hay riffs, solos e ideas en general muy buenas pero que se ven opacadas por esa sobreproduccion, en unas canciones mas que otras,comparandolo con chemical warfare que quitandole aun la sobreproduccion muchas canciones eran muy planas y sin ideas, sin duda, en este album si le quitas eso muchas canciones subirian uno o hasta tres puntos sin duda. Forgive me junto a los singles low , h8 myself y cheers to goodbye sin dudas creo son las mejores y para meterlas al playlist de la banda la producción las daño muy poco o nada. pero canciones como rather be dead o choke se vieron afectadas sin dejar de ser buenas, pero creo que podrian tener el nivel de esta cancion o los single tranquilamente, mención honorifica a king of nothing el solo con el breakdown es brutal no entiendo como metieron eso a una canción como la que es donde si la siento un poco parecida a la mayoria de canciones quitando un par de los singles de chemical warfare , plana y un poco sin alma y sobreproduccion a tope. Para el resto otra vez riffs muy buenos pero se ven opacados por versos que parecen de trap o musica de tiktok pero de un poco mejor nivel pero que concuerda poco o nada con lo anterior, aunque tambien destaco fun in funeral creo que es divertida sin saturar tanto la sobreproduccion, pero sin esta hubiera sido aun mejor. Por ultimo algo donde se puede ver el tema de produccion e ideas es que hay 4 canciones que apenas superan los 2 min y parecen hasta cortadas , quitando fun in funeral que si se siente como una cancion rapida y corta el resto de ellas no.

their best album in the last 10 years for sure. It is very similar to the album "This war ours" in general, and the sound is also a bit similar to "Chemical warfare". Guitar riffs are similar to the old style from Monte's time and it's cool. I really liked the new sound. It's a pity that there are almost no heavy tracks, only LOW. I hope someday we'll hear tracks like "Ungrateful" or "Just a memory". Well, there are no tracks in the album that could become ETF hits, such as One for money, Broken heart, issues, flood, and other tracks. I think it's a 7.5/10 album.

So i just listened to the whole album and this is what i think. The solos are amazing in the first half but get boring quickly becoase he is using the same formula, sweeps and harmony all the time. Verses are horrific like they cant be any worse, choruses are listenable and some breakdowns do go hard but im not a big breakdown fan anyway. I guess what i want is the verse to be powerfull like in this war is ours. This album is a big step up from the last but it still does not even compare to theier first 2 albums. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION
