In Alabama, while transporting prisoners to a court hearing, two prisoners, only shackled at the ankles made their prison escape. This was convict Roger Yeadon's fourth prison break and wouldn't be his last. Carjacking the deputy's car at gun point began the escapee duo's cross country crime spree as the FBI work hard to track them down and put them behind bars once again.
The FBI Files is an American television docudrama series. Each episode describes actual FBI cases which include murder, narcotics, bank robberies, and kidnapping as well as other crimes. These are portrayed through dramatic reenactments and interviews with agents and forensic scientists who worked on the investigations.

You see it time and again…that’s why there are rules and protocols. Just cause you know the prisoner doesn’t mean he won’t kill you. He was going to a trial for murder, duh! I guess Alabama likes arresting them so much they kept letting them escape!

In all my years I have never been transported to court in a car. Caged sprinter vans, caged school buses, converted motor coaches, but never like this. And usually whatever the prisoners are transported in is followed by armed officers in another vehicle.

Not,really, they were not convected yet when thy were being transported. They were not inmates. They still presumed innocent. They were just held pending their trial. Most likely if they had bond they would haven being free anyway. Reason they were held most likely because they were unable to post bond. Even murderers usually will be out if they post a bond until a court either declare them innocent or guilty. See Elizabeth Holmes she was sentenced to 11 years prison two years ago, but still she did not report to prison because she has 500,000 bond and has an appeal,she probably will be out of prison for the next 5 to 7 years until she exhaust all her appeals.

Different era in time & obviously proceedures have changed. Personally I'd like to see say tamperproof explosive collars on transported convicts with say a 50ft radius from the vehicle before detonations are initiated.

Two convicts with multiple prison escapes are riding in a marked unit, no cage, no handcuffs, one being a career criminal and the one riding shotgun is being tried for murder with quick access to a sidearm. Yah, that's a recipe for disaster.

He escape 5 times, got life without parole...but if he lives to 84 years old, he'll be out of prison, because life is 60 years, and all sentences were concurrent (all served at the same time). But, not very many people live to 84 years old.

A convict who has made three previous escape attempts along with another convict on his way to hear his sentence for murder (?) are transported, without being handcuffed, by one deputy. The deputy allows the convict being transported to a hearing to find is sentence for murder to ride in the front with him - It would be amazing if they didn't escape.

The thing is doesn't matter how smart these criminals are, they always tend to left some evidence behind. It's basically a punishment of their crimes. Even they are on the run. They have no good luck. They are always running with bad luck and karma for Killing / robbing innocent people. It's a lesson for all of us. There is no freedom if we do crimes like killing or stealing etc.

This is unbelievable, for starters this is supposed to be America, & there should be a divide between the officer & the criminals, & when do you see 3 criminals with such appaling convictions, not handcuffed? I thought that usually there would be at least 2 officers transporting these types of crooks, so the officer is guilty of not doing his job correctly, & this just doesn't make any sense.

The narrator kept saying that the 2 convicts has the paramedic's 9mm handgun and a shotgun from inside the police car, but in reality the pair would have had 3 guns including the original officer's service weapon. 🤷
