Não pretendo morar no Japão, nem tenho filhos em idade escolar mas gosto muito de conhecer os costumes e tradições de outras culturas. Parabéns pelos dois vídeos 🎉

Following are a few things to consider when choosing a school: (1) Japanese High-School is not mandatory education, meaning there will be entrance exams in Japanese language. In places like Tokyo, Osaka, Aichi, Gifu, or Shizuoka where many foreign-nationals reside, there are special-purpose public high-schools for children of foreign-nationals and children of Japanese nationals who were raised abroad, since they have difficulty in keeping up with regular pace of Japanese high-school curriculum. However, lack of formal Japanese education in earlier years may continue to be a disadvantage for studying for college entrance exams in Japan, depending on the academic field. (There are academic programs in English in Japanese universities as well.) So be open to all school options, and be clear in which country you want your child to attend high-school and college, and make your preparations accordingly. (2) Japanese society is not so welcoming to those who cannot speak or read Japanese. We do not require it for "guests" who are only in Japan for a few years. You can survive without Japanese if you live in an expat bubble. However be reminded that Japan does not offer Permanent Residency or Naturalization to foreign-nationals who have difficulty communicating in Japanese language. The entire process will only be in Japanese. Therefore, if your children are not fluent in Japanese, they may be socially-handicapped in Japan. This is the same for children of Japanese-nationals who were raised abroad and did not have the opportunity to receive formal Japanese education. Lack of formal education may limit their choices of high schools, universities, or even career fields & income opportunities in Japan. Conversely, children of Nikkei-Brazilians who relocated to Japan, such as Eiji TERUYA (first Nikkei-Brazilian lawyer in Japan), or Rodrigo IGI (public-school teacher in Toyohashi City, Aichi) are able to function in Japanese society because they've received formal Japanese education from a young age all the way to university and beyond. For your children to thrive in Japan, they will mostly likely need formal Japanese education, at least partially. The most successful ones speak multiple-languages,and have relevant academic degrees and technical skills. (3) Nikkei 4th Generation (YONSEI) visa scheme is very different from 2nd & 3rd generation Descendants. Under the current scheme, Nikkei-4th generation who didn't relocate to Japan as a minor with their SANSEI parents, need N4-level fluency to live/work in Japan (and need N2-level fluency to live in Japan indefinitely). This is in stark contrast to 2nd & 3rd generation Japanese Descendants (and their spouses/children), who had no minimum language requirements. Even if you plan to return to Brazil after working in Japan for a few years, if your children are 4th generation, you may be robbing your children the opportunity to learn Japanese while still young. Additionally, there are various scholarships for Nikkei-Brazilian to study in Japanese high-schools, universities, and graduate schools, but many of them will have varying degree of Japanese language requirements to apply. In reality, your children may struggle in adapting to Japanese education, or they may struggle when they to return to Brazil and attend Brazilian high-school and universities, or they may struggle if they ever wish to study or work in Japan in the future once they have re-settled in Brazil. Just pick your battles wisely because they will be struggling during the transition somewhere or at some point in their lives. In principle, it's easier to naturally learn a new language while younger. So the easiest transition would be to arrive in Japan when your children are very young and put them in Japanese kindergarten and elementary school. And if you have plans to relocate to Japan, please do your very best to learn basic Japanese language and culture while in Brazil. It will make your life in Japan so much less stressful in your daily lives.

Tenho uma filha de 12 anos e no caso ela estudaria meio periodo . teria algum problema se ela ficar sozinha em casa e restante do período até voltarmos do trabalho , eu e minha esposa? Temos essa dúvida pois no caso a escola que ela iria estudar parece que seria meio periodo
