It was my first year watching Eurovision live but it hasn't aged well, really low-tier year honestly specially compared to 2016 or 2018, and the worst part was that many great and deserving songs got stuck in the semis or got underrated in the final. There are plenty of examples of this: Sweden got a top 5 with that crap song that relied on threadmills. United Kingdom, France, Belarus, maybe Israel and Ukraine getting underrated as heck in the finale. Finland, Switzerland and Iceland not getting to the finale while Greece, Croatia or Australia (who even got Top 10!) did. Also, year of the biggest fanwanks: Latvia, Azerbaijan, Estonia or FYR Macedonia come to mind.

The sound mixing was atrocious this year, the reason Portugal did so well was because they were one of the only entries to not be swallowed whole by the soundstage. Along with the fact that is a good song of course.
