I think you are suggesting Acts 15:10( KJV) Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? first off you have to read Acts 15:1 to get the context and it reads as follows Acts15:1(KJV)And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be CIRCUMCISED after the manner of Moses, ye CANNOT BE SAVED. So the argument was circumcision for salvation.... if you keep reading the conclusion to the matter in Acts 15:1 is settled in Acts 15:19-20 which reads as followed Acts 15:19( NLT)“And so my judgment is that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. 20 Instead, we should write and tell them to abstain from eating food offered to idols, from sexual immorality, from eating the meat of strangled animals, and from consuming blood. 21 For these laws of Moses have been preached in Jewish synagogues in every city on every Sabbath for many generations.”

Messiah said to the disciples to not keep the law according to the way the Pharisees and Scribes keep it. They make it burdensome and grievous but scripture says that his commandments are not grievous. 1Jn 5:3 KJV For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. So what was the yoke of bondage? You see. The Pharisees and scribes added their own commandments and traditions to the law. They were not from the Most High. That's what the whole meeting was about. Them trying to enforce circumcision and the traditions that were added. This was one, but notice he says and many other such things ye do. Mar 7:8-9 KJV 8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. 9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. They added their own works to the law and that was the yoke of bondage. Not the true law of the Most High. Peace

If you have to work, The Lord understands what times we are in, away from our land.. He doesn’t want you to stress about not working just on 1 specific day, if you can’t. You can’t wait for the Sabbath day to be over and the religious festivals to end so you can get back to cheating the helpless. You measure out grain with dishonest measures and cheat the buyer with dishonest scales.” Lamentations 2:6 “He has broken down his Temple as though it were merely a garden shelter. @@ChristIsrealLife Hey bro, how are you? I read your comment and wanted to respond. There is a distinct difference between keeping the law in Spirit and keeping it physically. God asks us to keep both. It is clear that the Sabbath commandment is more than a spiritual aspect (i.e resting in Jesus) Yes we absolutely rest in Jesus, everyday and look to him for our salvation and sanctification, but the Sabbath commandment doesn't just call us to rest it also says "you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. (Exodus 20:10-12) The reason why the commandment is extended to everyone that is under your realm (your family, people who work for you and people visiting you) is because it's a physical thing. Now if we simply looked at it from a spiritual aspect, how do you propose that you can control whether your son, your daughter, your wife or the stranger in your gates rests spiritually. That is a matter of the mind, the heart. You have no control over those things. You can invite your family to rest, but how would you know what goes through their mind. This duality of both spiritual and physical is an aspect that Jesus pointed to when he said 21 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother[c] will be liable to judgment; whoever insults[d] his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire. (Matthew 5:21-23) You see here there is the physical aspect of killing someone and the spiritual aspect of having anger against your brother without cause." In no other commandment can one claim well "I keep it spiritually because I don't have to keep it physically." Would we agree with a man that says I don't lust after women, but he's having an affair? You see what I mean? The truth is if you are breaking it physically, you are also breaking it spiritually. When we choose to not work on the Sabbath we forfeit our opportunity to work and make a living on that day, we trust that God will provide what we need. Just as he provided everything Adam and Eve needed before they arrived on Earth. Think about it? Adam and Eve were made on the sixth day. they hadn't done anything yet. But God created them and then said tomorrow we are going to rest. Keeping the Sabbath is acknowledging that God is our creator and provider. Many of us struggle with the Sabbath commandment because we believe if I don't work on that day, what will my job say or how will I provide for my family. God does understand what times we are living. God knew the end from the beginning that is why he established the Sabbath. This world gets us to believe especially as men that we have to work ourselves to the grave. We don't have to do that. We have free choice. God has given us six days to do all of our work. Don't say "well God understands that I have to work on the Sabbath." God is specific, I mean people back then had needs and obligations as well, God could have said well I understand you guys are busy and you might need to work to provide for your family. No. He said don't work and even in Leviticus we learn that working on the Sabbath was an offense punishable by death. Some sins you could just make an offering for, but God elevated that kind of sin to the level of execution. That's how serious He was about it. In no way am I saying God is going to kill anyone who doesn't keep it. I'm simply inviting you to think about why God would take that so serious knowing that we live in a busy world. Take it from me friend. I haven't worked on the Sabbath for more than a decade and my needs have ALWAYS been provided for. Every job I've had in the last ten years, I've received promotions, raises and excel beyond my imagination. I can share stories with you where although I worked at a job where working on the Sabbath seemed like a must, because I stayed true to God they still pointed me out as one of their best employees. If you don't believe me I invite you to give it a try. Ask God if He wants you to keep His Sabbath and move forward in faith. You will not lose out brother. The call is to totally rest from physical labor on the seventh day of the week and as much as you can don't cause other people to work also. God is very specific. Do not assume that resting in Jesus makes it okay to break the law physically. Now to speak to the verses you provided, I believe you reading them out of context. Paul is not talking about "The Sabbath." There is a difference between "The Sabbath" ( the seventh day of the week, something God established in Eden and should be kept on a weekly basis) and the sabbaths which in that time period the Hebrew had several feast days and special days like the Feast of Tabernacles, Passover, the Feast of weeks. These were like religious holidays that were also kept as "Sabbaths" where people wouldn't work that day. It's like what we do now in America with Yom Kippur, often times businesses and schools are closed on that day, like a day of rest. But those are totally different from the "Sabbath" day. Paul was not talking about that here. During that time there were issues with new converts to Christianity, and discussion on whether the Gentiles should keep these holy days that they have never heard of before. Paul was addressing that fact that because the holy days really were examples of Christ and his work that they no longer needed to be kept. But if one chooses to do so, they can, but don't hold it over anyone's head. There is a huge distinction between these two types of laws. The ten commandments were written in stone by God and were never to be done away with or changed. Part of the new covenant that God would put his law in our hearts and show us how to keep them through Jesus. "And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules." (Ezekiel 36:26-28) Even in Hosea 2:11 that you mentioned "Sabbath days" is lumped together with annual festivals, and new moon celebrations, he wasn't talking about "The Sabbath" day just the other sabbath days that fell in that category. I hope you can see the difference. At the end of the day God is specific. God wouldn't give us 10 commandments only to later say one of them you don't have to keep anymore. And if He would do that it would be extremely clear in the new testament. Nevertheless, there is no passage that clearly says we no longer have to keep the seventh day Sabbath and the passages you referenced are not saying that at all. Praying for you brother.
