I really cannot thank you enough for uploading these types of exercises. Keep it up! Just a small complaint: Please use a better microphone. It is stressful hearing that background noise. I'm sure you will fix that little issue as soon as you can.

"If I were" is conditional and subjunctive used mostly when talking about a wish, or when an action is conditional. You can not use your example "were for I". Example. I wish I were two feet taller so I could be a professional basketball player. I am wishing for something that cannot happen, so it is in subjunctive mood.

There is NO mistake. It is a correct conditional statement using the subjunctive mood. Please understand what you are talking about before you make incorrect comments.
