I got his book "In Pursuit of the largest" in Germany in the 90s sometime (may have been my first purchase on Amazon) and went on his trips with him in my imagination. I started out Carpfishing a few years before and soaked up every trick he revealed. His mindset and effort are impressing! I still have that book and marvel at the pictures. I just thought of looking Terry up on yt a few weeks ago and am very impressed by how he is in real. He is humble, straight foreward and can recite his adventures in a very pleasant manner to the listener. I do have to sharpen my ears to follow what he is saying due to his dialect. He is lucky to make a living in fishing, but he earned every bit of it. Good dude and definately a role model.

This must rate as one of the best carping video’s/stories I have watched. Entrancing to watch and listen to a master telling his story of river carping. Love it.

If you feel a bit down and not yourself just watch Terry tell a story about one of these Adventures am I swear by the end you will have the biggest smile on your face

I’ve returned to carp fishing over the last year after at least 20 years away, and it’s changed so much. Lakes over stocked with fat, force fed stew pond fish and people catching a 100 30’s in a year! Thank god for Terry and those like him that show what real carp fishing is like. Not always after the biggest but those pretty old fish with character, give me one of those at mid double over a fat 20 any day. Also got to say well done to esp for backing people that may not catch 100’s of fish a year and make it look easy but true anglers, proper carpers.

Tel desperately needs to release his books in an audiobook format. This is a no brainier as he’s the best at reeling off a tale, your there with him. Not a lot of people have got the ability to do that. I always revisit these after a few months as it’s engrossing content. Keep up the vids ESP with El Tel 🎣 🎣🎣

Greatest of all time. Only Chris Yates tells stories as good as Terry. He’s a natural. And that stretch was the scene, for me and my fishing buddy, of many a happy childhood summer’s day trotting for roach and dace. Doubly poignant, an added air of whimsy. Loved it.
