I'm from Malaysia, and I think it's easy to learn. And there is a large speaking community in Indonesia, China, Japan and various other Asian countries. The fact that Esperanto take a lot of words from Latin roots is not a problem at all to us. We, the rest of the world, do not have the same racist codescending mindset like that of the Europeans.

Just nouns. Adjectives are -a, adverbs are -e. Most verbs in -s, imperatives in -u, infinitives in -i. Plurals are -j, and accusatives are -n. Some prepositions, numbers, etc. end in -s, -k, or -u.

No, the grammar is entirely based off of Romance languages. It has verb inflection and an accusative case. What Romance languages have you studied that make you arrive at that conclusion?

That's the point! Remember that China has like millions of dialects, and the major languages of that region (Korean, Chinese, Japanese) has very little in common, and the fact that they all hate each other. To them Esperanto is a very useful tool for communication. They don't care that it sounds weird to you Europeans. They don't care that it is artificial and synthetic and not natural. What matters is that it WORKS!!!

how do you know it's easier than English? plus,English has become internet and program language now! Java,html,C++,python,javascript ect. I don't see any hope of Esperanto becoming a global language,plus,it sounds like Spanish,i guess spanish people might have a better understanding of this language!

esperanto comes from europe, that means europeans will learn it easier than asians right? so much for the international language... one should involve languages from all around the world when creating a language... try again!

okulisto, koridoro, are present in Russian, I think. Optika in Hungarian, I'm sure. Esperanto is a copy of Turkish grammar. The word roots are from European langueages but the grammar is just the copy of Turkish grammar.

I like the language and the idea, but it's not useful at all for things like 'science' (I saw it in another video). The language of science nowadays is English. I'm not saying that this can't change, but at the moment, Esperante is useless for science.

@Moose6960 lol, what a load of crap. esperanto will still be a secondary language for him, so he will feel like a swede who is using esperanto, the same would go for the korean and brazilian. I've listened to alot of videos using esperanto also read some articles in esperanto. I'm a romanian and the language annoys me deeply, I don't want to hear it ever again. It may sound good or exotic to non-latininized language speakers, but to a latin-based language speakers it sounds bad, unharmonized

in China several hundreds of millions Chinese are learning the real lingua franca of the planet: English/Globish. English/Globish is the fastest growing language in the world. The question is also not if Chinese or Spanish can take over (totall nonsense, they reach both soon the demographic peak) but if India will be the next biggest English speaking country or at first China ... not to mention heavy populated and growing states like Pakistan (English) or Bangladesh (English) or Nigeria (English) .... they have also each local languages but they are not relevant. in Europe English is the most spoken and used language (before German) and btw: it continues to be the fastest growing as well. it is in almost all countries the next language behind the local language. often it is already more used. in Berlin English is on the street already the inofficial second language. same in Amsterdam, same in Paris, same in Stockholm, same in Warschau, same in Moscow (English is also in Russia the next language and growing) and the youth in Spain and France are also learning more and more English ... the old unopen people without any knowledge of English are dying out on the contrary ... some first studies say something about that 2020 there will be over 4 billionen English speaking people in the world. And no: Esperanto is no replacement. and btw. neither neutral nor a complete language...
