I think Bill's coaching search is like my job search. I'm not really trying because after 35 years working before getting fired, I'm debating just retiring. I took a few interviews, but unless something seems favorable, I'm fine with just staying at home. Naps are cool.

Can be a number of things but I guarantee Bill wants to coach. Its his identity. Doing it for so long Im sure hed rather coach the panthers than sit at home and take naps. Someone thats successful and good at what they do will never retire. Look at Warren Buffet. Dudes in his 90s and would rather work than sit at home all day.

@@kleatise52 Defense was good last year too, how well did they do? Yeah great defensive coach, the guy has 12 seasons in the NFL without Brady and 1 playoff victory as well as being 20 games under .500. Pretty big sample size. The defense of the pats was 5-13 in Belichik's first 18 games as a pats coach, after brady took over they won the superbowl. After he left they stunk again. So yeah call bill to coach the defense.

I'm late to this party but IMO, Belichick is a hypocrite. Belichick expects EVERYONE ELSE to be accountable and team driven so, WHY ISN'T HE??!! It's abundantly clear that Belichick is a brilliant Narcissist. He's the best defensive mind the game has ever seen, but he has NO respect for offense and offensive players, and NO respect for the Owner that employs him. He has repeatedly undermined what was best for the team while claiming otherwise. Sitting Malcolm Butler in SB 52 threw ALL Players under the Bus! How was that best for the TEAM?! Players are human and all different. It's a HC duty to manage personalities and CREATE an atmosphere of SUCCESS for overall TEAM benefit! Ruining the starting QB consciously or unconsciously because he isn't "your guy" is Textbook NARCISSISM and absolutely NOT what is “BEST” for the TEAM! Belichick does what is best for his EGO! He may have cut his football teeth under Navy Athletics, and he may THINK he runs a team modeled on the military, but he does NOT! He FORGOT that EVERY serviceman swears an oath and is accountable to a higher authority! The Admiral or General, may not agree with or even respect The President, but it's their duty to their country to follow orders and to NEVER undermine or subvert “The Boss” or the MEN under their command. Belichick should never again be trusted with a HC position. He's borderline megalomaniacal, and a cancer in any position of authority. I would hire him as a DC with very minimal authority only. IMO, players were willing to endure the "Belichick Way" because they believed TB12 ensured a legitimate SB shot year after year. Yes, the defenses were equally important to the repeated success, but The GOAT was the GLUE that held it all together. When the glue dissolved, it unsurprisingly fell apart.

Brady was a good defensive coach who got really lucky in drafting the greatest QB of all time. But most people gave him credit for their success. Because Tom Brady was a relatively unknown QB. Because of that everyone just assumed that Bill was the reason Brady became great. I bet that if Brady was known to be great and was drafted high up by the Patriots. The Media wouldn't have given Bill as much credit as they did. Kind of like how Patrick Mahomes gets most of the credit for their success becuase most people expected him to do so. Now, the Media could not stop praising Bill for what his team has accomplished. Which in my opinion inflated his Ego beyond compare, and that's when he started to see himself as someone who could make anyone great. But he and the media at the time did not realize that Brady was the main reason why those bad decisions looked like great ones. I personally believe that if Bill actually got Brady some talent they would have won way more rings than they did. Bills record as a HC before Brady was bad. He had one winning season with the Browns. After Brady left he also only had one winning season. He's a Bellow 500 coach without his QB in Tommis Edwards Patrick Brady Jr. Some may say that Tom Brady left him with nothing. But you do realize Bills is the HC and not Brady. He did that to himself. He was not getting Brady players to force Tom out the door, and it worked. But he soon found out that he was not the Goat of the team, Becuase the GOAT was Brady. That's why teams do not want him anymore. They see what we all see now. They know he is a great Defensive Coach like we do. But they also know that he is a historically bad GM. They know that he's a Bellow 500 coach without Brady. They also know that he's going to want the keys to the castle. He will want full control to do what he wants when he wants. But people now see that he is more likely to fuk over their franchise than make them succeed if they hand him the keys. Also, I bet he would have a job if he was okay with not being GM. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
