During the 90’s Berman and the Primetime show enhanced every NFL Sunday. Truly a unique broadcaster, with a mix of quick wit, consistently hilarious pop culture references, great insights and overviews, and an obvious love of the game. Brought another much-needed dimension of fun and warmth to watching football.

Agreed!!! I didn't grow up in a pleasant environment (to say the least) and was often miserable. Sundays with Boomer and TJ put a dent in that. Long live this legend. ...and he COULD! GO! ALL! THE! WAY (to the HOF)!

Broncos fan here. I used to love watching Boomer and TJ in the 90s. Primetime was the best, no BS, just long, detailed highlights of every game. Miss those days.

That late '80s to early 20-aughts era for SportsCenter was magical, for lack of a better adjective -- from the caliber of talent of all of the anchors, analysts, and field correspondents be it with respect to the then old guard from the O.G. cast that were still on the network all the way down to the most junior of the green horns to the chemistry between the individual members of that collective on-air talent to the writing and video editing. There was an industry term which first emerged some time in the mid to late '80s regarding really popular shows that you just had to watch every episode of (in the era before TiVo, or DVR, or now with streaming) as it were very likely to be fodder for animated water cooler discussions the next day at the office: "appointment television". That was what that era of ESPN was for me! Lastly, I would just like to remember one of my top-fav SC hosts from back then: Stuart Scott -- still miss him even though it's been about a dozen years since he passed. Wherever he is I hope that he's cooler 😎 than the other side of the pillow!

Berman was part of the greatest pregame show in America, at one point in NFL history. We still love him, but Dan Patrick, Rich, Pat McAfee, and others have passed the cable game behind. That said, what an excellent human being Chris Berman is, truly. We need more of his ilk in the world.

I love, love, love Chris Berman as a sports analyst, in the 80’s and 90’s. I think Stuart Scott replaced him very well. I miss Stuart but God had other plans for him. Chris was fun to watch and addictive. Never missed his show. However, I am disappointed with what I have seen of his on air tantrum and people have said he was arrogant which I believe and can see. It’s sad about his wife. I see his personality as being arrogant when he was a hit in the 80’s and 90’s and I don’t think he treated others well. Now he has come full circle and appears remorseful. He is now a humbled man. No one is perfect.

Thus, the 'Niners leave no doubts' about strengths, focus, point of contact, goals... 6th finally ours, as the San Francisco 49ers win 58! 49=13... 58=13 #13 Purdy... which in numerology is 4 (there are no numbers higher than 9) 1+3=4.... 13=1and3=4... therefore 4 is the smallest number and is no higher than 9. Key words (same meaning) ... reduce, lessen, mitigate.

Does kettle have a better game than kelce? Was that a serious question? That was a close follow up to YAC, which KC is better at than SF. You were good at post game but clearly you dont watch enough to know what youre talking about.

@marked4death076 kelce, who is literally passing up Jerry Rice in the record books? The guy that averages 40 yards a game and has 2 tds in the post-season is going to beat the kelce? Burned or not, kelce scored the same amount of tds as kettles post-season career in the game against Buffalo. I get kettle blocks, but that's not what any of us are talking about. Be mad because you lost your league, but be smart enough to know the difference between the greatest to ever play a position and a glorified lineman.
