hrs1414 I went to Miami for my bday last year. Honestly its one of the most welcoming cities I’ve ever been to. Everyone is so cool. I got accepted at the university of Miami for law school and the dean actually called me personally to tell me. No other dean did that. I’ve got nothing but good things to say about your city.

I always love seeing LeBatard with Dan Patrick together even though Dan L really looked shook here by the weekend news. Lebatard and Stugotz are the epitome of clown-show sports radio; they're brilliant at looking awful for entertainment. But Lebatard is also a top-notch journalist. Dan Patrick is absolutely the smoothest 'perfect' sports radio guy, and top-notch in the journalistic world too. Great that they compliment each other as almost being one, like a wonderful Steak dinner - what it looks like just before you eat it, then five hours after you eat it.

Let's just remember Kobe would want us to celebrate his and GiGi's life and to not forgot the others that died... and be too be strong and not to mourn for too long even though I cant talk because this is absolutely terrible and I'm crying non stop... go lakers... never thought I would say that but here we are...

I don’t even want to watch the Super Bowl on Sunday. Nothing against the 49ers or Chiefs but being born and raised in Southern California, I’m just over watching sports for a while. Kobe was my childhood role model. I never had a father figure in my life. I watched him grow up and was able to meet him before I left for Iraq in 2007. I still have the autographed jersey and photo of us. This is such a blow and I don’t know if I will ever feel the same about sports.

In the strict sense, it's true, that Len Bias's death was self-inflicted; though, it seems a bit harsh to put it that way, Dan. especially, given, just how many young people experiment with drugs, yet survive and thrive.

@MrKDollarSign4 жыл бұрын
Insert Name since they’re in a larger room with reverb and echo (sound bouncing around) the audio is set up in a way where the mic is picking up sound only at certain frequencies (only their voices). So when they don’t talk, it sounds like static

His take on Kobe not being able to protect Gigi in those last few seconds, has been the hardest thing for me to deal with. I’ve got two daughters, and that’s my biggest fear is not being able to protect my girls. And Kobe Fucking Bryant can’t protect his daughter?!?!?!?!? How am I supposed to protect mine? I’m still working around that aspect. And I’m sure that Coach Altobelli felt the same way. I’m still struggling with that almost a week later.

2nd comment - what about Dale Earnhardt Sr dying in a last lap crash @ daytona??? That was tragic. Again, not that this isn't, but that was unbelievable, right? I kno I'm more of a nascar & Miami hurricanes fan than basketball but still, that unfolded in real time on TV during race
@maximostiberius23244 жыл бұрын
Slow your roll Turbo...Earnhardt was very similar to this. However Kobe was international. I'm sure the NBA has a larger following than NASCAR. Not hating but it is what it is. They should have mentioned him though.

@@maximostiberius2324 wow, I've had a rough day & u made me laugh w ur 1st line - ty. If u look at merely stats, suposidly soccer has 4 billion fans - idk about u; but I would rather watch paint dry than watch soccer. (pls don't hate on me soccer fans) I know motorsports isn't as "international" per say... But, Sr lost his life in a last lap crash at the mecca of racing w his son & teammate 1st & 2nd on live TV! Again, with all respect cause i certainly feel 4 his wife, children, fans, etc... But he didn't pass on the b-ball court in front of millions of ppl live. Again, a tragedy & no disrespect 2 him (or soccer haha) but that crash was a very emotional moment in sports history. I may b a biased Sr & Jr fan, but wow ya kno. That's just imho & we all have r own passions & such
@maximostiberius23244 жыл бұрын
@@msklaws no disrespect meant. In my lifetime sudden deaths include: John Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Elvis Presley, John Lennon, Kobe Bryant and Dale Earnhardt. I think all of these deaths were the most shocking and unexpected. Dale Earnhardts was certainly up there. All of them are tragic in their own right. I just think Kobe was international and we've only scratched the tip of what we are going to see. We havent had a tragic soccer death but then again soccer isnt an american sport. No disrespect meant. Glad you liked my opening sentence.

@@maximostiberius2324 none taken & again, I am just speaking as a passionate motorsports fan. Again, I bleed orange & green 4 the 'canes & I love most motorsports; but that is kinda what I was saying 2 - we all have different passions & I feel that's 1 of the best things about sports. The way the fans r ride or die ya kno. & i do agree kobe reached a larger audience 4 sure - i think i was meaning in pure "shock value" so 2 speak just cause of how we actually saw Sr's crash/untimely death live basically & in such an important place 4 the sport. I have a feeling we may b of a different age as the tragedies that effected me most were more the challenger & 9/11. 9/11 still gets 2 me actually. I mean no disrespect 2 any1 as well & feel 4 the loss. I just was commenting on the conversation from the clip & surprised that when talking sports death tragedy; his name/crash wasn't even mentioned; that's all.
