Love seeing Michigan and Ohio State alumni speak to each other like this. So professional and cordial. Respect to both. I'm a huge Buckeye fan but I was rooting for UM against Alabama. I admire Saban and Bama immensely. Them and Georgia have been the gold standard in CFP... especially Bama. But it's nice to see some new blood.

Same here I'm a Mich fan I always love Herbie in his analysis on the college game. I respect a lot of former Buckeyes Chris Speilman who is helping with my Lions in the front office, Robert Smith him interviewing Blake Corum last year which was awesome interview on YT and Eddie George and the list goes on. Love the respect of the players by both schools once they hang up the cleats.

I think you'll see more Big10 champions going forward. SEC had tremendous advantage over the other conferences due to recruiting practices. With transfer portal and NIL, Big Ten should be more competitive recruiting talent to their conference.

I've been watching Longhorn football for 60 years and Penix and his receivers ARE the best offensive group I've seen since Joe Burrow and his receiver corps, and I never thought I would see another group that good, but here they are. That said, I do not see the Huskies being able to defend the Michigan run game, a run game that put over 260 yards of rushing offense on Penn State, the top run defense in the country. My Longhorns had 2 top-tier interior defensive linemen in Sweat and Murphy. Michigan has 8 guys like that on defense; so, the Huskies are going to face a much better defense than they have seen to-date. That said, I do believe Penix will get his points. I think the team with the stoutest defense wins this game and that favors Michigan statistically.

I've been telling my boys who play football... if you want to be a champion, look at how the Michigan players talk about their team and their teammates. Blake Corum is always talking about how he loves his guys. Hutch used to say, "We're doing this for Michigan!" I think that was what they got wrong pre-covid and what they are getting right now. They have built a real team. It's everything Schembechler used to say but in a more modern way. Play for each other, love each other, love your school and you will be a champion. And when you are a champion, the NFL will want what you have because you're a locker room builder. Not a guy that tears things apart trying to get his.

Rose Bowl should be natty every year, outside on grass no matter what the weather does... thats what football was meant to be. In fact all games should be outside on grass, nfl and college both. He’s a grinder, and that has allowed him to become the best announcer especially for college football imho. Watch the rose bowl highlights and pay attention to his breakdowns on plays. He instantly notices an insane amount of subtleties for each play, for example; pointing out missed penalties in a way that’s not vindictive or necessarilly even “calling it out.” He keeps it even-keeled on it. BUT what he’s 100% mastered is the art of sounding like he’s shootin the sh*t with you at the water cooler the day after the game when the replay’s going. As a michigan fan I’ve always despised him, but over the last five years he’s easily become my favorite announcer.

Do we want the best for our team...absolutely. But that doesn't make Coach Day a bad person! Hope we can put it all together and win this year because this is the best team we have since his first year as our head coach. And it doesn't happen we will probably move on. TV will be muted as normal. Herbstreit will find a way to mention Ohio State in some capacity. HOWEVER! There’ll be no mention of OSU being under NCAA Investigation for allegedly gaining access to opponents Catapult practice footage. That’s OSU-TV (espn) for you. To name the booth after Herbstreit a disgruntled Buckeye that went (0-3-1) against Michigan over a class and professional man that named it the “grand daddy” - Keith Jackson is pathetic.

Michigan had a very nice team this year, that cannot be debated. However, if the school and athletic department are ok with how they achieved their success maybe Conner Stallions, Chris Partridge, and Uncle T should lead the team out on the field for the championship game. Your victories appear hollow to the teams that played by the rules. Enjoy your "championship " though.

Didn’t need them to beat the teams they beat on the schedule, then beat Penn State, OSU, and Bama after the scandal. I’ll have no problem loving every second of this championship if Michigan wins. This “cheating” thing is ridiculous.

I lived in Columbus for 20-years. Your comment is a stellar example of the unbearable obnoxious fan base. Nobody cares. Some facts for ya! 2024 = 10 year anniversary since last title. Lost to UM three years in a row which equates to over 1,000 days and counting. 12 players in transfer portal OSU is officially under NCAA investigation for allegedly gaining access to opponents Catapult practice footage. The golden era of Tressel followed by Urban are OVER. 2002 title was first in 38-years Last but not least! “THE” pinnacle of embarrassment! Google up the end of the 1978 Gator Bowl. Kick rocks
