Dan Patrick and Kenny Mayne host Sportscenter following John Elway, Shannon Sharpe, and Terrell Davis help the Denver Broncos win their first Super Bowl against Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers.
The Broncos defeated the Packers by the score of 31-24. The game was played on January 25, 1998 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California, the second time that the Super Bowl was held in that city.[6] Super Bowl XXXII also made Qualcomm Stadium the only stadium in history to have the Super Bowl and the World Series in the same year.
This was Denver's first league championship after suffering four previous Super Bowl losses, and snapped a 13-game losing streak for AFC teams in the Super Bowl (the previous being the Los Angeles Raiders' win in Super Bowl XVIII after the 1983 season). The Broncos, who entered the game after posting a 12-4 regular season record in 1997, became just the second wild card team to win a Super Bowl and the first since the Raiders in Super Bowl XV. The Packers, who entered the game as the defending Super Bowl XXXI champions after posting a 13-3 regular season record, were the first team favored to win by double digits to lose a Super Bowl since Super Bowl IV.
The game was close throughout much of the contest. The Broncos converted two turnovers to take a 17-7 lead in the second quarter before the Packers cut the score to 17-14 at halftime. Green Bay kept pace with Denver in the second half, before tying the game with 13:32 remaining. Both defenses stiffened until Broncos running back Terrell Davis scored the go-ahead touchdown with 1:45 left. Despite suffering a migraine headache that caused him to miss most of the second quarter, Davis (a San Diego native) was named Super Bowl MVP. He ran for 157 yards, caught two passes for 8 yards, and scored a Super Bowl record three rushing touchdowns.
**Up until recently, I've been downloading my personal VHS collection. However, the collection is obviously limited. I started a Patreon page to better find and purchase old VHS videos on EBAY and other websites, as well as at garage sales and other locations that might have VHS available, so I can upload them for all to see and share for free. how great of a brother is Sterling Sharpe??? He was a hugely influential Packer, but nobody could have been happier with this Bronco victory.

Sterling was a GREAT player. I watched the game that cost him a career. I remember him laying face down never thinking it was over for him. What a gracious guy ! And he was happier than Shannon and Elway. They were RELIEVED they got it. Sterling was thrilled and wanted a 🎉Great brother.

I grew up during this ERA the AFC was the inferior Conference, they would get blown out in the Super Bowl, they were the softer weaker conference, the NFC teams were physical. The Broncos were physical they played NFC style football its why they won.

Grew up in the same era. As a Broncos fan I grew up on not only their SB woes but the AFC's in general. I had no concept of the AFC actually competing with the NFC in Super Bowls. The mere idea was foreign to me and relegated to highlight reels of games before I had any recollection. The NFC was it and that was that. To finally see the streak broken, and that it was my team to do it, was just so awesome.

You know, that NFC Super Bowl streak is overrated. Go look at the record against the NFC of the AFC representative for some of those Super Bowls. The 90 Bills beat the Giants and Eagles. In 92,the Bills won against the 49ers in the first no punt game ever and beat a tough Saints team. In 93,the Bills beat the Cowboys, Redskins and Giants. During those 4 years when the Bills went to the Super Bowl, they had a 14-2 record in the regular season against the NFC.

Eyelash from Braxton would have kept chumora from catching it in the end zone and the half ending and running the ball instead of throwing the interception in the end zone by elway would have been more than enough at least 10 points more ahead and g b would not have been able to catch up

In the Broncos previous trips to the Super Bowl they didn't have a serious running attack. Can anyone name a 1k yard rusher they had previous to Terrel Davis? And credit to Denver's O-Line neutralizing the Packers front four. Run the ball, run the clock works to perfection.

Super Bowl 32 marked the end of the NFC's 13-year winning streak and the AFC's 13-year losing skein, all in a combined total of 26 Super Bowl teams. The Denver Broncos finally got the AFC's first Super Bowl victory in 14 years when John Mobley broke Brett Favre's pass attempt as the Broncos celebrated as Super Bowl champions for the First Time since the 1983 Los Angeles Raiders beat the Washington Redskins Unfortunately, John Elway had a Super Bowl record low of 123 yards as accounted for 12 out of 22 pass completions, as Brett Favre, Elway's Super Bowl adversary, had a Super Bowl record-high of 256 yards accounted for 25 out of 42 completions. But the star of the show went to Broncos running back Terrell Davis who had the Super Bowl's 2nd record-high of 157 yards with 30 Carries and a Super Bowl record 3 rushing touchdowns

Too bad for Elway who could have been the Super Bowl MVP if Barry Sanders, Jerry Rice, Reggie White, and Sterling Sharpe were here. Terrell Davis was reason why the Broncos didn't need a running back with a longest yard touchdown

On this day and at this exact moment in Bethel Park, PA, the world lost a great man. Jack Pearson a big football fan and huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan died from a Widow-makers Heart Attack caused by smoke inhalation after the family home went up in flames from a faulty Crock-Pot switch. Jack sacrificed his life to save his family, their dog, and some family mementos. Super Bowl Sunday holds a special place for his family as Jack and his wife Rebecca conceived two of their three children the night that the Steelers won Super Bowl XIV over the Los Angeles Rams in 1980. Jack was survived by his wife Rebecca, and children Kevin, Kate, and Randall (aka The Big 3).

Super Bowl 32 marked the NFC's first Super Bowl defeat in 14 years when the Green Bay Packers took the same fate of the Washington Redskins of 1983 as the Denver Broncos won their first Super Bowl victory, as the American Football Conference was redeemed at last when the former's 13-year winless streak came to an end and the National Football Conference's run of Super Bowl wins had stopped at 13 While John Elway had a woeful and ill-fated Super Bowl record low of 123 yards as accounted for 12 out of 22 pass completions and 1 touchdown, the star of the show went to Broncos running back Terrell Davis who had the latter's 2nd record-high of 157 yards with 30 Carries and a Super Bowl record 3 rushing touchdowns so Brett Favre became the first NFC quaterback to lose a Super Bowl since Joe Theissman in 1984

Fast facts: 1. Super Bowl XXXII was the Greatest Super Bowl of the Century and the most legendary day in National Football League history, best known for the end of the NFC's 13 Year Super Bowl winning streak 2. John Elway won his first Super Bowl but suffered a horrid 123-yards when he failed to threw a Touchdown pass in neither any of the Bronco receivers, while Terrell Davis ran for 157-yards with 3 Touchdowns, thus becoming the Super Bowl MVP 3. The reason why Terrell Davis became the Super Bowl MVP was he had 157 yards, 30 carries, and 3 touchdowns. Another reason why was his teammate, John Elway, didn't portray the roles of Troy Aikman, Steve Young, nor Joe Montana

The Star of Super Bowl 32, Terrell Davis, suffered a migraine that almost costed their Super Bowl 32 victory. But when John Elway was interviewed by Paolo Abrera of GMA Network, he admitted that he failed to portray the roles of Troy Aikman, Steve Young, or Joe Montana, because it was Brett Favre's fault why he didn't became the Super Bowl MVP and he also admitted that he was the amoy lampa they knew
