Reaves and Hachimura are not gonna be enough for the Lakers to make more deep runs in this era, but if they go for an established perimeter all-star the Lakers would have no depth and also not be able to make deep runs. Getting a Mitchell/Young/Murray/LaVine etc would have them basically where they were with Westbrook. And LaVine is not functionally better than Reaves anyway, he just has the shot volume, it's not like he's a better defender or a great rebounder or anything. The LeBron contention window is over for the Lakers and they should come to terms with that by trading Davis.

As far as D. Mitchell I don't see why he wouldn't stay unless he just wants to be in a particular city or play with a particular player. I think mobley shows a lot of potential as a scorer not just a defender. If you move off garland the cavs could max him out and trade him with full leverage to get more depth in exchange. Allen is a great piece when healthy to protect mobley while he gets stronger he is more suitable for power forward right now not center . Clearly a new coach is coming so the franchise can commit to Donavon on that end with a friendly hire

I don't see George as a second lead guy I think he is a third option so I'd be looking closer to 100-150 mill 4 yrs but at 200 it's a reach because at 9 mill you are very limited in terms of role players I don't see a big 3 winning over a team with multiple upper role players similar to Boston. So if signs with the sixers I'd rather sign maybe 3-4 other guys and figure out his # after especially if he really wants to go there. Based on his interview about championships not really a guy id want unless you get George and Klay split the money up and gain some depth

Nothing showed that players vibed with him in Detroit. Monty has a great reputation but the end of his Phoenix job and the year in Detroit doesn't show that players are responding well with Monty. Lakers should blow it up Cash in Davis with OKC or Spurs Or Orlando. I know Davis is used to a lot of the offense running through him in LA but early in his career New Orleans did not run plays for him and he was still an All-star anyway. With the good passing at forward from Franz and Banchero he could be a good fit at the 5 and help Orlando's guards get easier shots. A package with W Carter and one of Suggs or Cole and 4 1sts is a good framework. One of those 1sts obviously would be the Denver one. Orlando can keep Moritz as a true rotation 5. And they can still sign Klay. Since Cole makes more than Suggs next year and they want to maintain their good defense on the perimeter, the Magic should prefer to trade Cole. A core featuring Suggs/Klay/Black/Franz/Banchero/Davis/Mo seems like a real contender if they can get hold of a couple shooters before Suggs and Franz contracts hit the franchise.

I would like that (Kawhi being traded) OKC can give up Giddey and like 3-4 1sts that should be enough for the Clippers big picture. With SA you're looking at like Graham, Sochan, K Johnson, and either (the #4, the #35, and the #48) or (#8 and the Chicago 1st). The Clippers would save a lot of money in either case. If I was the Clippers dealing with San Antonio, I would prefer the 1st pick package so I could dump Powell with the #48 and get my books good. Get my swaps back and mess around and draft a true franchise wing in 2025 with my own pick to start building with the #4 guy (Clingan or Sheppard) from this year. Meanwhile from SA perspective they can still draft someone helpful in the long- term (Castle, Buzelis) at #8 or trade that down for a true 5 (example: Missi) and try to get Murray to complete the starting lineup by giving ATL's picks and one of Wesley or Branham with Z Collins. Murray/Vassell/Leonard/Wemby/Missi would be fantastic for SA with all their own pix going forward and the future asset from the trade down from #8, especially as the cap jumps to accommodate Wemby's max in 2027 which conveniently happens to be when Kawhi's last big deal expires. As I said these maneuvers should leave LA with two top cornerstones and all the cap space in their new arena.
