Fabian Friedek I agree but the Bengal’s front office MUST bring in some talent around him! No one player can do it all !! So many out there will be quick to call him a bust if he doesn’t turn that franchise around. He can’t do it alone. I wish him luck !!

snsproduc He had a fantastic season, yet Case Keenum had multiple consecutive seasons with UH in which he scored more than 50 TDs, yet was never even talked about... Keenum finished his career with 12,000 more yards than Burrow. Shows what money and being in a favored big name university can do for you.

Steelman To some extent yes but even in road games against major Power 5 teams like Oregon, Alabama, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Michigan and Michigan State he put up crazy numbers. UH wasn’t even that good back then, although to be fair 2007-2011 the Group of 5 conferences had some unbelievable murderous teams with NFL Franchise QBs, some of which still start in the NFL.

All of us college fans are lucky whether you are a Tigers fan or not. We just witnessed history and us LSU fans got to see it happen every single week. I'm so stoked that Burrow did it in Purple and Gold. H Burrow just immortalized himself and this will set up LSU great for years to come with recruiting and If you are a backup QB come to LSU and succeed.

Zechariah Cameron what player doesn’t benefit from a good coaching staff? Oh yeah the ones that suck. Burrow had to adapt to an NFL style offense that was way different from anything LSU was doing before and he went above and beyond what anyone thought was possible. What you guys forgot to mention about Burrow is the fact he gets stronger and becomes more focused after he takes a hit or throws a pick. This will be huge on the next level. Burrow is a combo of Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Steve Young, and Rocky Balboa. -2016' LSU Alumnus

He did have the greatest season and was by far the best QB, but he was in a good situation. Barry Sanders has a season where he rushed 238 yards/game and rushed for 37 TDs in 11 games. That would have been the greatest if he was on a better team

I’m just talking about best season out of any college player ever. I don’t think anyone will ever rush for 238/game and rush over 3TDs a game Not trying to Slight burrow at all. His season was legendary.

Cam Newton literally carried Auburn who was 8-5 the year before & lost to Northwestern in a bowl game. While Burrow's is impressive a lot of his throws were bombs. Thus making the game longer & giving him more time to pat stats. Auburn ran the ball a lot & still Cam threw 30 TD's.

I'll end the who was better debate. Cam Newton - 185/280, 66%, 2854 yds, 30 TD's, 7 INT's, 182 rating Joe Burrow - 402/527, 76%, 5671 yds, 60 TD's, 6 INT's, 202 rating Like Greeny said. Look at the numbers and it's over. Burrow has more passing yards then Cam Newton has passing AND rushing. Beats Cam's passing/rushing yards total by 1344. Beats Cam by 1712 when you add Burrow's rushing yards. Burrow passed and ran for 65 TD's. Cam got to 50. Burrow compiled these stats against 7 top 10 opponents. Cam only played 3. Get over urselves ppl. Burrow had the greatest season by a QB in history. It's not even close

I don't want to see Joe Burrow end up in an undeserving NFL team. He should end up with a team that needs his talent the most, but has the sensibility to put together an O-line that works best for him, with active offensive players and a solid wall at scrimmage. Also, maybe a team structure that is not dictated by coaches' cliques and the front office's tomfoolery. I don't want to see him become the next Andrew Luck.

Anything can be argued. One thing I cant stand about today's society is that everyone, myself included, even though I try not to be are prisoners of the moment. To just make the statement that it is the greatest season ever by a quarterback is unfair and disrespectful to all the guys in the past who have had all time great seasons. He was tremendous all year and it will go down as one of the greatest seasons ever but you also have to look back at history and look at some other guys before you just state something as fact that is nothing more then your opinion

anthony patterson the conversation is the best quarterback . He won the heisman and the championship and shattered the most TD’s in a single season and did it in style . By having the best efficiency rating ever recorded . Meaning it took less effort from him because he rarely misses throws .

I hated LSU for as long as I can remember, and I mean early 2000... but the first season Coach O took over I started telling people I hate to say it but O is making me like LSU. Their band and culture was always appealing but Les just made me hate them. COACH O made a Bama fan like LSU. Roll Tide for life but Geaux Tigers man.

I love all the Cam was better trolls that come outta the wood works lmao. Here's some facts/stats for you ppl. Cam Newton and Michael Dyer (Auburn's starting RB) had a combined total of 5471 yards and 56 total TD's passing/rushing/receiving. Burrow had 5671 yards and 60 TD's passing. Let that sink in......he has more passing yards alone then Auburn's starting QB and RB total yards combined and did it against 7 top 10 teams compared to just 3 for Auburn. Debates over. The answer to who was better is Joe Burrow

Timothy Thomas i mean 5600 passing yards vs 2900.. Burrow almost doubled Newtons yardage. They both played in the SEC.. Burrow is much better than Newton at the college level. Well see how he fairs with the bengals.. makes me a sad just thinking about it.

Congrats to joe borrows. & coach O but it’s time to put 2019 behind u and prepare for 2020 , since Oklahoma has the qb they want for the future on campus they will not pick up a Gt qb this year so unless LSU wants to go back to the normal LSU offense in 2020 they need to get a Gt QBs like king from Huston. Would make any decent p5 program a contender and LSU could continue to dominate bama and uga in the sec. with him go get coach O

Kenneth Hoffman Cam had 1400+ rush yards with 20 rush tds with a far less talented team. Played in 1 less game. Was asked to do MUCH more than Burrow. You put Cam on LSU & they go undefeated. You put Burrow on that Auburn team & they don't. 60 passing touchdowns is insanely impressive yes but when you throwing go routes for more than half of your touchdowns every game and you have the receivers to out run opponents & make the plays it becomes less impressive. I get it he's just doing what he's asked to do but I just feel like his numbers are exaggerated. Cam was the offense.

Kenneth Hoffman How difficult is it for a top 20 college QB to throw go routes to first round receivers against college defenses ? Their receivers made plays all year. And he had the confidence to throw most passes on the money. Cam couldn't have done that ? You're just applying stats when stats aren't everything. Its so many QB's that has thrown over 50 td's. But who actually had to carry their team the most to an undefeated season. Cam carried his team, everyone knew he's was getting the ball & still couldn't be stopped. I'm judging from all perspectives stats, eye test, weight carried, team talent.

Chris Mequet What did LSU have to do? To be the greatest of all time? Oh i don’t know, LSU ranked #42 in total defense and gave up 341 yards per game. Compare this to 95 Nebraska, who averaged 53 points per game and 568 yards per game, while only giving up an average of 14 points per game, and allowing 198 yards per game. Nebraskas defense scored nearly as much as 1/5 as many TDs as LSU offense scored. I’d say you’re lacking pretty heavily on the other side of the ball compared to the GOATs.

Cinci is not ready to draft him, not the city they are, but the owner/management and head coach and the staff and last the players are not ready to move on.... some should just walk away from football... Joe should have all the great players who do not get drafted or are asked to try out in other teams camp come to Cinci to do so........ If the above Bengals personnel are not ready to play at this mans level please walk out the door it will not be at negatively!!!!!
