@@MsMaggles2 Yeah, she did say that. If she gets cut, she can join the Fever with Caitlin. Kate's and Caitlin's ex-teammate Monika Czinano was drafted in the 2023, but she got cut and then she played in Europe.

She was either out of eligibility or decided not to use her extra covid year, same as Caitlin. I don't know as much about basketball, but assuming if it's anything like how nfl draft works, her college coaches were probably able to do an evaluation and get some intel on her chances of being drafted & how early. Considering where she went which seems right around the middle, if they knew there was much of a chance she probably figured why not give it a shot, is my guess

She's going to have to battle for a roster spot. Martin had one very good season out of 5 with Iowa. Before this season she was just a role player. It is tough to make a WNBA roster because there aren't that many teams.
