That 3 million people downtown alone. There’s about 2.9 million in terms of population, an additional 3 million went downtown. I believe they had to close some subway stations that day because of that but I was at work so I don’t remember.

The nba as a whole is trash in overall team talent this season! Kawhi’s first ring came as a role player on a team with 3 hall of famers. Then he went to a ready made team that had a winning record without him and won a ring against an injury riddled warriors team. Lebron beat an OKC big 3, finely tuned spurs team, and a 73 win warriors team. AND Lebron was the leader of all his championships unlike Kawhi. No question Lebron’s ring carry more weight.

Honestly I think the magic of that season as a fan in Toronto was crazy. Noone in Toronto blames Kawhi for leaving but objectively, staying in Toronto would have, especially looking at Toronto now, guaranteed the Raptors dominating the East. With Pascal's development and the synergy in the team even with their injury, the Raptors could have been a dynasty leading into 2020.

It's become more apparent now than ever that the Raptors would have been his clearest path to the Finals again with less pressure about the load management thing. If we're thinking personally, then yes he made the right choice to leave.

If his decision was based solely around winning championships than no. But after getting to know a lot about Kawhi last year and all the things that have happened to him and his family over the years you could tell how much they meant to him and being close to home in LA was what he always wanted. Can't blame him for that. I do think the Raptors repeat if he came back though. I think people were upset because everyone wanted just ONE MORE YEAR. But it is what it is. Hope he's happy, because he made so many memories for Canadians

@@bobsmith962 Sadly clippers won't win. They don't have a competent ball handler. Even Kawhi struggled when Lowry was off the floor last playoff. They're all scorers and defense players. People keep underestimating or forgetting Lowry's value. Also Gasol was another key piece that Clippers do not have, another ball handler and center defense. Although Harrell will make up for that with defense/offense scoring and rebounds.

Clearly no, he shouldn’t have left especially if he doesn’t win next year. 2nd round exit and blowing a 3-1 lead with big leads in games 5-7 with Wayoff P. Clips mortgaged their future. Ricky James I’m not arguing that Kawhi wouldn’t have the better team surrounding him. I’m saying he wouldn’t be king. Cause Giannis got even better this year if you haven’t noticed and would have the bucks at the number one seed still. Kawhi on the other hand hasn’t and will just continue to rely on his supporting cast to get him into the playoffs so he can come in more rested than the rest of the league

He made the right decision for him. I don't think anyone faults him on being closer to family (or skipping out on our Canadian winters). As Canadians we will always be grateful for what he gave us/ helped us accomplish. Only time will tell if he will feel any regret. I know I would have liked to see him stay.

He should have stayed, for one more year... try and repeat, then if it fails, head home, I’m sure the clippers would sign him then. The raptors are a good enough team to be able to repeat. I'm from Toronto and am a Raptor fan (obviously). I wish of course he would have stayed but most of us Toronto fans knew that he likely would want to go back home and play there. No amount of money in the world can replace being able to play in your home town in front of one's family and friends. We wish Kawhi all the best, we will always be grateful to him for helping to bring a championship to Toronto and we know he made the right decision for himself and his family. We will of course kick his and the Clipper's butts in the NBA Finals this year! Lol.
