Stop it! Gigi has never done anything for people to say whether she was good or great. Her name is only in the mouth of people because her father is Kobe. Laila is an undefeated boxer with 24 fights and 21 knockouts so there is no comparison in any way whatsoever. As a matter of fact, Laila didn't even have the help of her father because her father thought that she could not do what she did. Gigi had a chance to be either good or great just like any other person but she is not here with us anymore. God Bless Her Soul.

Unfortunately Shields is too small. She will get done like Christy Martin who was on steroids also back then. Straight pummeled. Size matters, and even at an advanced age Laila is too big. Shields wouldn't be able to hurt her.

@@gerryclemonsii Shield's fights at a lower weight than Ali did, and just because they weigh the same, doesn't mean they are "naturally" the same size. Floyd can 160 but he isn't a natural middleweight. Shield's height has nothing to do with anything. She could win, but Ali wouldn't want the fight if they were the same size. That would be suicide. She is over 40, and hasn't fought in over a decade, plus she's twice her age. C'mon. Ali isn't stupid. She knows the size difference is a huge factor.

Until we see a reign as long as Laila's, I will still consider her the greatest out of respect for the Legacy she built. But Clarissa is going to be the next great one and it's not even a question at this point, its an inevitability. In Laila's prime this would have been a fight of the century. She was a force of nature like her father, but she needs to learn his lesson. Even if she somehow wins, her body will pay a price like his did.

42 is not young for a Professional Fighter. Being in shape is one thing, being in RING SHAPE, (which I think she's not) is something else altogether. If they were to fight it's a good 3 years from now, & and she'll be 45 yrs old. She's been inactive for 13 years.
