As a guy who grew up in ky and from just one county away from where reed Sheppard played high school basketball, i just think it's awesome seeing him show his full potential on the big stage and a wildcat. He's a phenomenal basketball player and he's gonna do great things throughout the season. Go BBN#1

@@notanyonespecific We matched up really well with Miami, but we really do need a 7 foot rim protector. Kansas beat us because we didn't have a big man to stop their big man. If we play Purdue, we would absolutely need someone with size to defend them.

The one thing i seen that i loved was when Mitchell did the turn around fade. Lets me know that Cal has changed in his coaching. Bc he would've went crazy last yr. Lol. But this team you have to let them play their game. Just sit back direct and let them go. Wait til them 7 footers get back.

Awesome display of teamwork, from what I seen, anybody that plays this Kentucky team, they best be able to play defense,or they will get blown out.. This is a very explosive 🧨 team.. They had Kansas best.All I can say is this, you don't play defense, you'll get blown out.. Cat's are that 💯 good.. love it 💯

Cats DOMINATED last 30 minutes of the game. Can't wait to get our bigs in the rotation. Could be a very tough out come March Madness. The talent is definitely there and the bench is deep too, final four potential. Hopefully DJ is alright and it's not a serious injury, we definitely need him, he's a big piece to this machine. I watched every single minute of every game and they should have lost four or five games that year, and that performance against Wisconsin was abysmal.., the platoon system was a mistake.… the 96 team had 10 NBA caliber players, and they managed to destroy everyone by 30 points… and beat the two teams that beat them… never mind the two teams that managed to beat them were in the final 4 that year

@@devinstewart7892 they lost when it was most important, and if you rewatch that season, you knew that moment was coming…. They just refuse to put most opponents away… 96 was a different era, but there was no doubt that team was going to finish the deal.. even the 2012 team I was 100% confident when the tournaments started… the 2015 team was a panic attack every week.. take it from somebody that has missed maybe 10 Kentucky games in 30 years… you might not have missed any BUT there was something about that 2015 team that just wasn’t right. They didn’t gel as the season progressed. They regressed .

Several games they were trailing until the final minute… there’s no doubt they were the best team that season, but I think there was a lot of coaching mistakes made… especially the platoon approach

Um keep ur heads up. Lets see how often we play a team that could hardly miss as this happens in basketball all the time. Now compare their fg pct to the next game they play and realize how lucky a team has to be to hit all those tough shots. Kentucky is good. But the motivation they had to play a final four team at home when they were average last year was really the difference.

Nah. You keep letting him start. Reed and Dillie are comfortable coming off bench. They come in a ramp that tempo up. N you have to adjust to that tempo mid stride. Its hard for a defense. But Wagner is definitely needed and will be for them gritty games UK will have.

I like this win, but i’m taking nothing away from this. Kansas was a real team and we lost. Miami got a lucky hotstreak last year imo, and this isn’t the same team this year. Kentucky is nearly a complete team, lots of talent. just hope Calipari doesn’t mess this up in both the conference and ncaa tournament

We lost to Kansas because we were without our 3 centers. If we had Bradshaw, Big Z, or Onyenso (even if we only had one of them), we would've dominated and probably had beat Kansas by 15+. Hunter Dickinson killed us because we didn't have a big. Also, Miami isn't a bad team. They won the ACC tournament, and made it to the final four. Miami has retained most of their pieces. I do agree with your last sentence. Calipari has been a bad coach for the past few years, with good 'enough' talent, so hopefully he doesn't mess anything up.

Miami definitely has some really good players, but Kentucky had a phenomenal night. This should have been a close game. But now Kentucky is going to move up in the rankings and Miami is going to go down.
