Steph had arguably his best pure PG brilliant passing game ever and his teammates def let him down (as did his 3-14 shooting from 3), but OBJECTIVELY he’s TOP2 WORST LATE GAME PLAYOFF CLUTCH PERFORMER! Final 50 seconds in PLAYOFF GAMES Steph (after 0-2 last night) is 0-14 on SHOTS TO TAKE THE LEAD (0-6 3s!) For context (keep in mind this only goes back to 97 playoffs as clutch stats and play by play data started in 96-97 or else guys like you’d see guys like MJ Reggie Miller Larry Bird Sam Jones Jerry West Horry etc have more clutch shots taken and made) here are some other clutch (take lead shot) stats in final 0:50 seconds (this is all on Stathead which uses basketball reference): LeBron insane 17/29 (3/4 3s) MJ 5/9 (1/3 3s) Kobe 7/23 (1/5 3s) Reggie Miller 4/10 (4/9 3s but like MJ Horry & few others on here this doesn’t count any playoff games pre 1997 and Reggie many clutch shots 93-96 playoffs) Durant 7/19 (3/10 3s) Ginobli 6/16 (3/6 3s) Ray Allen 5/13 (5/11 3s) Duncan 4/12 Stockton 4/12 (2/5 3s) Dirk 4/10 (1/2 3s) Jimmy Butler 4/10 (2/7 3s) Pierce 5/17 (2/3 3s) Dame 3/11 (2/6 3s) Harden 3/15 (2/8…1/13 & 0/6 before this playoffs but 2/2 clutch shots vs Celtics so props to James) Westbrook 0/13 (0/7 3s) Curry 0/14 (0/6 3s!) Tatum 4/5 (1/2 3s) Nash 3/6 (2/5 3s) CP3 3/6 Horry 3/8 (3/6 3s) Kawhi 3/7 (1/2 3s) D-Rose 3/6 (1/1 3s) Pippen 3/3 (2/2 3s) AD 3/3 (1/1 3s) PG 3/3 Shaq 2/6 (doesn’t count 93/96 playoffs) Giannis 2/6 Middleton 3/8 Billups 3/9 (3/6 3s) Jokic 3/6 (0/2 3s) Rashad Lewis 3/6 (2/4 3s) Hedo Turkoglu 4/10 (1/6 3s) D-Fisher 3/5 (2/3 3s) KG 3/5 Gary Payton 2/5 T-Mac 2/4 Iggy 2/3 (1/2 3s) Luka 2/2 (1/1 3s) Trae Young 3/4 (1/1 3s)

Here's a fun stat: Stephen Curry is now 0-for-14 from the field to take the lead in the final 50 seconds of a playoff game. how the media allows him to continuously get away with chocking because he sboots fancy shots is mind blowing. The way the nitpick LeBron when he has better 4th quarterr performance than other superstars blows my mind.
@darkse1dd
@darkse1dd Жыл бұрын
@@Tunechi65 I mean, this is a known fact right? Most people would agree. Me personally, I don't care too much about the stat. The game is not equal to the final 50 seconds, he usually plays well through the first 3 quarters. The only way you could use this argument is to nitpick for differentiating between the greats. This is one reason Stephs probably just inside the top 10.

Bron & AD are still playing well but they’re not as good or consistent as they were in the bubble. The Lakers have been winning with their depth. Then Klay for whatever reason shot two contested 3s in the last two minutes of the game early in the shot clock🤷‍♂️. Like if I’m Kerr I’m making it clear that we’re pick and rolling AD until they find a way to stop it. The Lakers ran a pick and roll to get Steph switched on Bron cause it was working. Poole has been a blight on the Warriors since before the season began. When I heard about his contract, I knew he was going to be useless going forward. He walked and talked as if entitled and played like he only had to make points to be on the team. His momentum changing turnovers , his complete lack of even minimal defensive effort and his “ I’m great because they paid me” attitude is costing the Warriors the chance at another title run. GET HIM OFF THE WARRIORS!

Moody wasn’t guarding lonnie tho. It was CURRY. He was getting cooked in the 4th quarter. This lakers squad is DEEP! 1 game it’s AD, another game it’s lebron, another game it’s RUI, another game it’s reaves, another game it’s DLO & now last night it was LONNIE WALKER. That’s depth! . To top it off lakers got the best defense in the NBA since after all star break. They definitely winning a title this season.
@mrkickinthesky
@mrkickinthesky Жыл бұрын
thats brons doing,if you watch the game every thing coming from bron was switched to curry,and he got cooked defensively, his legs gave out,reason why his last 2 shots were off,he even got dropped twice during defense,steph pick n roll with drawing AD out from inside worked but steph basicly tried to handle assists and rebounds too with 3 steals,and then needed to make shots since noone else could,they are not winning unless klay and poole give them about 40 combined,cause that means you rely on 4 other roleplayers to get you atleast 10 each while steph puts 35+ like in 2021

Moody played great on both ends, but agreed with SAS. Lonnie Walker looking unstoppable, you have to put in your stopper in GP2. Inexcusable! AD's defense on Curry gave some Love on Curry PTSD. Klay has championship DNA, but I can't believe he jacked up those two 3s at the end. One of those 3s was deep, just like JP's last shot of game 3. Credit to the Lakers

Yep. I've commented on many videos from the jump of this series I thought the LAL would win in 5-6 and go all the way. This is one of the only times I can honestly say that LBJ and AD do not have to go for 30-40 per night. If LBJ can muster the strength to attack relentlessly like the past, its surely a wrap. Not going to beat 2 guys who can dominate the paint/rim. They did the same thing in the Bubble.

I feel like what's happening to Poole is similar to what happened to Tyler herro against the Lakers in the finals. He struggled to get good shots, and his whole game flustered because of it. Since Jordan is more of a point guard and has to playmake more, he's suffering more than herro who wasn't being depended on to handle the ball and run the offense

I prefer Denver but at this point I’m rooting for Phoenix because I think they will get a more even whistle in the WCF. I don’t want to watch LA march to the finals shooting 20 more free throws per game than Denver. Phoenix is more established so I believe they might get more balanced officiating and KD vs Bron will be fun. I’m not 100% done with the Warriors but they were a hot mess all year and down 3-1 now so it’s unlikely they will advance.
