I agree there is a need for the media to want him to win (and I am a Bills fan) but I think his playoff record is about the same if not better than Lamar. I guess the difference is Lamar probably underappreciated if anything. ps. I don't know the stats in terms of playoff records (Lamar vs Allen) but do remember Bills knocking out the Ravens about 2 years ago.

Again, Mahomes goes to the AFC championship game; he doesn't know what it's like to suffer the humiliation of not being in these games, the aura, the prestige, the expectations, on and on. It's just manufactured for TV debate. Orlovsky had to play a clown for a segment. It was a good close game and Allen was playing roughly as well as Mahomes, but Allen/playcalling royally screwed the pooch at the end. A first down would have been better than a TD in many ways. A first down meant Chiefs were going to have 0 timeouts when/if they got the ball back. Then a FG would have actually had a good chance to go to OT. A TD would have almost certainly sealed the game. But going for it with the timeouts and time the Chiefs had meant a FG even if made was all but meaningless and a TD probably gives them probably little better than a coinflip to win(I still like Mahomes to make it happen but this year was rough on his 4th qtr magic).

Also, ESPN's EPA-based total QBR factors in WR drops and QB runs, and yet Mahomes had a grading of 94 and Allen had 62 for the game. Most of Allen's passes were behind the line of scrimmage. Why should we celebrate the loser and weaker performer after a game?

Not really. He took a lot of big plays and the receivers dropped the ball. Him not turning over the ball put them in a position to win at the end. Ironically he SHOULD HAVE thrown the check down to Diggs instead of going to the end zone at the end of the game. Would have set them up with a fresh first down he was wide open.

The Bills ran 78 plays to KC’s 47 which 3 of those were kneel downs. So they ran 44 plays. Buffalo had the ball 37min KC had the ball 23 min Please. Buffalo had ALL THE CHANCES to score and they didn’t. Allen did not come through for them. They only scored 0 points in the last 19 minutes of the game. And that 2nd down on the final drive. That was all Allen being greedy. And stupid. Why go for the touchdown. And give Mahomes the ball with 2min left. But it’s all on that darn kicker right? Allen can’t handle big moments. It’s just his thing.

The blaming the defense in defense of Josh Allen is wild, how great do you expect your defense to perform when they're on the field the entire game? This recent loss to the Chiefs is the ONLY exception for the losses the Bills have suffered during Allens tenure as starting QB for the Bills. Time of possession plays a HUGE role in the playoffs especially going against elite QBs like Mahomes and Burrow because you don't want those guys taking control of the game and its pace. The playoff loss to Cinci: Bills TOS- 26:06, Bengals TOS- 33:54. The 2022 playoff loss to the Chiefs: Bills TOS- 27:37, Chiefs- 36:38, The 2021 Playoff loss to the Chiefs: Bills TOS- 28:51, Chiefs- 31:09. YES you can say the defense isn't getting off the field quick enough to give their team TOS but good luck like I said against other elite QBs like Mahomes and Burrow who are very good at managing the game and the clock. The Bills punted the ball 4 times compared to Cincis 2 in their playoff loss, in 2021 against the chiefs they punted 3 times compared to KC 1 time, in 2022 playoff loss to KC the Bills punted 4 times compared to KC 2, in the recent playoff loss to KC the Bills punted 2 times compared to KC 1 time. I'm not here for the excuses anymore and Ryan Clark is right, he's not the reason they're losing the games, but he is contributing as to why they haven't won those games. In every game Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes has won in the playoffs they led in TOS and every game they've lost in the playoffs they did not...so don't tell me it's an overinflated irrelevant statistic when its clearly not. Stop the excuses for Allen, I like the guy but get realistic.
