What a performance by West Virginia, there offense and defense absolutely raddled that North Carolina offense and defense too, the future looks bright for West Virginia.

Not sure what you saw. Their defense was good at times, especially in the 2nd half. But it's not like they were playing against a good team. Their offense is going to need work if they are going to win the Big 12 next year. It was ugly in the first half and kicked multiple FGs instead of getting TDs.

@sunwheels, Hudson started the season as a walk-on. I believe if I remember correctly that PFF graded him as one of the 4 highest graded Freshmen wide receivers in the country.

Zach Frazier- donaldson - Carter were huge players missing for WVU + half out defense was injuried and transfer portal . UNC had their star Running back we didn't.

At end of 2nd Q, NC did have a TD before (hopefully at 3rd and 4 they get TD after) and almost blocked WV FG attempt which still ended in success to give 7 point led.

Some college football fans have already forgotten about WVU's outstanding teams from not long ago....the 70-33 massacre of Clemson in the '12 Orange Bowl, the 38-35 win over SEC champ Georgia in the '06 Sugar Bowl, and the 48-28 thumping of Big 12 champ Oklahoma in the '08 Fiesta Bowl. The '07 team should've won the national title.

The only thing worse for UNC than losing badly in a bowl game was losing badly in a bowl game with the same name as their biggest rival. Any year Duke is bowl eligible, they should automatically get a berth in the Duke's Mayo Bowl based on the name alone...

On that fake field goal, why isn't the holder ruled down the moment he receives the snap given that his knee is on the ground when he catches the ball? This is college football. He should be ineligible to advance the ball as soon as he has possession.

Mack Brown is a too nice guy, which is his strong and weak sides at the same time. He recruits one outstanding QB, stick with him 3~4 years, and never even considered to recruit another 5 stars. QB motivation problem always follows his QBs b/c there is no QB competition in his team. Problem? google QB list that Mack Brown hadn't even considered to recruit: Drew Brees, Matthew Stafford, Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin, Ryan Tannehill, Nick Foles, Ryan Mallett, Jameis Winston...
