Caleb literally had to play hero ball at USC almost every down because the defense or offensive line. He says he doesnt want to run, he wants to throw from the pocket as much as possible. The bears have a good overall team and caleb wont have to play hero ball nearly as much.

This offensive weaponry is the best the Chicago Bear organization has ever had, at least on paper... ✅️🐻⭕️📃. The D should be solid going off of the end of last year. Teams are essentially brand new every year in the modern age, so we'll see. How far they can go depends on Caleb's development, maturation & education...& the O-line, of course.

Sometimes it’s hard for rookie QBs are the changes from College to the NFL, in College they always (99% of time) they always start in the shot gun, usually never under center, College field is wider than the NFL fields & the footballs are bigger in the NFL & college stadiums can hold more fans….

Williams isn't going to have to run out of the pocket as much as he did with USC. The Bears depth WR's and TE's will be open more than the USC's WR was. I just hope that he avoids the hits whether it's to gain yards running or avoid sacks. Slide early and throw the ball away if there's nothing instead of forcing a throw. Another question is how much better will the offensive line be compared to last year? That will directly impact how much he needs to use his legs because we know we can throw from the pocket.

JJ McCarthy is in the best spot to succeed. All on him and the coaching as to how far he goes with that supporting cast. He doesn't need to start right away. Plus you already notice a difference in mechanics when you watch the tape. Release is different too. McCown's got this.

JJ is in the best spot ? You clearly didn’t hear Caleb is the 1st rookie QB to have 2 receivers who had 90+ receptions the season before.. Both had over 1,200 yards. Rome the rookie is also set to be an elite WR in his career (Adams type WR). Caleb is about to light up the NFL just watch

Bears brought in X-Rams/Seahawks OC Shane Waldron who fixed Geno Smith. Russell Wilson couldn't pick it up in Seattle and got dumped. Caleb looks like another Russell more than Geno/Jared. Caleb has BUST written all over him.

I believe Daniel’s will be. The oline is terrible so he won’t be very protected and he was a runner not a scrambler, he wasn’t very good at protecting himself from hits either while running. I think they’ll make it very easy on Nix and I think he understands the game better than the rest of the rookies at this very moment at least.
