Күн бұрынMatteo Bonetti, Gab Marcotti and Jurgen Klinsmann weigh in on the state of AC Milan following back-to-back Serie A losses to Spezia and rivals Inter Milan. Bonetti believes Milan were "punching about their weight" and were due for a downturn in form. Marcotti contends that Milan are still very much in the title race and believes it could come to the wire for the Scudetto this season.

No Milan ever taught we deserve to be on top. Our squad was never built for it. We’re we thrilled that we were on top for a long time? Yes but as much it hurts we knew we never had the depth to carry on for an entire season.

Look it's pretty simple if you follow any of the teams in Serie A. AC has been punching well over their weight since the campaign started and it was just a matter of time before they ran out of gas. Regarding Inter, they're finally playing up to the skill level of their individual players. Conte is finding a starting eleven that should be winning every game they play. Milan losing this game should have been a forgone conclusion and the score showed that.

Milan invested nothing they have a few quality players the coach Stefano pioli in not changing the format he always prefer the 4-2-3-1 rather than 4-4-2 or the more attacking 4-1-3-2 he is always afraid the players are good and young against an all out veteran inter milan team an inexperienced coach pioli against the man who made Juventus Conte so they never thought of winning the scudetto the just want the champions league probably at least 2 or 3 veteran or experienced players or expensive players can do the job but still so far from the start of the serie a a very good performance till now and hope you get back that superb form

Not sure what's going on with Milan. For the past month it doesn't even look like they can string a pass together without giving away possession. Awful first touches and crosses that aren't even close. It's not even that they're under pressure, just an inability to do the simple things. Inter are a good team. You don't need to make it easier on them by gifting them possession nearly every chance you get.

I dont think its about them, Milan have struggled to reach CL place in 7 years, they are not ready for winning the league. We need more quality players and better squad depth. And reaching CL will be a big achivement

I respect AC Milan for being on top as long as they were there for. They haven't got star players, or experience players like Inter have. It was only interesting coz Zlatan single handedly was carrying this squad. Most of the Milan players i wasn't familiar with start of the season. Players like Lukaku need to tone down their hype

As much as i don't like, Zlatan did almost singlehandedly changed the fortunes of Milan this season. Need to give that to you. If only he did that year after year, he could have been compared to Salah, Mane, Suarez etc. Not the case though. But Lukaku hyping?? When it comes to consistency last decade, Lukaku was arguably better than Zlatan not to mention his influence with his national team whereas Zlatan took a break in US. Was not even getting picked for national side.

Anyway, he did have a good time in Napoli, so respect! I think he also didn't suit Juventus, so Sarri Ball with Ronaldo and Juventus was never going to work. He played Allegri style in a bad way....
