You likely don’t even realize that he was coaching Sociedad’s B team. Or perhaps because of how terrible they were you assumed that was Burnley’s B team as well. Also Bayern Munich and Leverkusen aren’t similar prestige jobs. Noticeably Bayern who had two coaching vacancies during Alonso’s time at Sociedad never considered Alonso.

I get what you mean but if Kompany was fired after the relegation and he moved to Bayern, then no hard feelings. He wasnt fired but instead agreed to be bought by bayern which he could easily have said No. Every actions he took felt like betrayed by many parties. -When he had his contract extended after his first year, he was talking about his 5 years plan. And he just jumped ship on the first year after blurting that out. No remorse -Players he signed joined Burnley believing in his sales pitch. Vincent Kompany is a legend. There's nothing special to join Burnley if there was no Kompany. And now those players are stuck in Burnley after one year. Alot of players worth 100m. No remorse. But what I dont get is the board of Burnley willing to sell Kompany to Munich. Not only did they spend alot of money on players he bought for his 'project' but with a new coach, they have to reinvest again. Since I am not a Burnley fan, this is all assumption.
