wheein has become so much happier and confident in her abilities recently. she's really matured and come into her own. her self-esteem has finally aligned with her talent. it seems like she is able to show us more of who she is because of this. she feels like herself, knows who she is and isn't afraid to admit her strengths. i'm so happy to see her like this after seeing her struggle with anxiety and depression for so long.it feels like she was lost from being overworked and forced to put on a persona for a long time. she has always been the most private of the members and i really do think it was a defense mechanism because of all of this. she needed her privacy and space because she barely had any free time and needed to maintain some sort of feeling of identity. in this video she has very subtly told us all some of her frustrations when it came to her old company from not letting her rest for 4 albums straight to the point where "she felt she was going to die" (she played it off as a joke but we all remember when she had to take time off for her mental health) to not having the chance to perform solo songs that she really enjoyed and feeling like they were wasted because of lack of promotion. joining the l1ve must have been one of the smartest moves she has ever made. she seems genuinely happy, she has gotten a lot of promotions, she has had input in all the entirety of the process of making her album, she even got her first music show win! she has filmed a lot of behind the scenes content and yet she doesn't seem nearly as tired as she used to be during previous promotion periods. she opened a youtube channel she wanted to do last year but "behind the scenes issues" didn't allow her to and now is showing us a very organic, honest, unedited version of herself. the staff at her new company have been working overtime for free without complaining because they love her so much. all we've heard is how good of an energy she has around her and how work doesn't feel like work anymore. this is all i have ever wished for as a fan. i can't wait to see what more she has in store for us and to support her in every step of the way
