Hey Jean-Francois - Great work. Why did you replace the diaphragms? I'm going to restore a pair of the same model, but the tweeters are working fine. Should they be rebuilt anyway? Also, did you build the cabinets yourself. They don't look like you just refinished the originals.

Sorry for the late reply I had to replace the diaphragms, both were full of holes. The cabinets were in bad shape but still salvageable. So I just covered them with wood veneer.

Hey I have two to rebuild got new woofer ,new passive radiator. hiel was good but capacitors what capacitors did you use to replace the old one's ? I can not cross reference any of them I didn't mess with the veneer I used heavy formica walnut heavy duty 1/32 thickness. Looks great. I also took a router to the top of the speaker enclosure and routed it all 1/4 round and on the bottom of the cover. This allowed everything to slide on with no square edges to hang up on and break off.

Hi Jean-Francois - I have a pair from 1977 that is going to be rebuilt. Can you tell me where you got the replacement cover?

Very Nice, but where did you get the parts? I thought ESS was out of business a long time ago. They were in Sacramento, but I can't find a listing for them anymore.

HI, They re-opened, esslabsusa.com/, Simply speakers have the parts also, and Solen.ca.

How do you disconnect the 2 wires coming out of the tweeter? The 2 wires go to a plastic connector with 4 red looking buttons.

Hey deekay2 Sorry for the late answer, I remove those, I prefer soldered connection
