At the end of the day, there are so many many different variations for achieving front lever and planche. It doesnt really matter which variations you select, but will matter the proper form and execution. And with time, all variations will get you to the movements you want.

So true, the goal is getting better, and not everyone develops in similar manner or responds the same to the same exercises/routines.

I like the ice cream makers as a gateway to the buttermaker. I like that it trains the body tension, lock off and bicep in just one excercise.

Id love to see a video on Manna exercise. Comparison between it and other adv exercices. Its the closest we can get to a proper reverse planche

It's a good thing that you don't have biased views.

Hello Simon, do you think front lever pullup progressions or banded ones are great for unlocking the full frontlever hold? I'm unsure about the transfer since one is a SA and the other is a BA exercise

I recommend watching my video about specificity. Yes, they can be helpful but there are more specific and therefore better options to prioritize.

Hey Simon! Can you leave links to the bar equipment you used in the video?

I really feel the work in my back when I do ice cream makers, so I actually consider them a great excercise

Does these help with lock off strength? I heard some climbers say they do
@davidthomas1424 Жыл бұрын
They will help, but the key to Simon's video is "how" you use the exercise. I would do assisted one arm pulls instead, together with negatives.

I disagree with the rap the ICM gets. If you choose a progression that is easier, you can slow down the transition from vertical to horizontal. It's not about "flicking" into the lever position. I can't imagine anyone using the ICM for bent arm work, and when done properly, the upper arm work/tension is very low. Choose a progression level that allows you to isolate the lats more, and repeat. If you can't do it slowly, choose a lower progression ;)

Simonster. Good video. I don't know if you read my other reply elsewhere, re the take away from your video was emphasising "how" the exercise is used. There isn't one good exercise, without good application too. Thanks for the motivation ;)

@@SimonsterStrength Hi sir, my BMI is 27 kg/m^2 and I'm able to do 30 pushups, 5 pull ups, 10 parallel dips with perfect form, but I'm really struggle with doing Straight bar dip because my body always touch the bar so that I can't even move up and down or in other words there's no gap between the bar and body, can you give me some solution?
