There's so many interesting things to do in the city of Medellin that often it's hard to pick, especially if you have limited time to spend in the city. I've put together this one week plan which covers culture, food, history and fun so that you don't have to plan and think - instead you can just enjoy your time here.
By the end of this week I hope you will have had some fun (obviously), experienced something new and learnt something new about the local culture. Medellin has been in the news for all the wrong reasons of the past 30 years, but I'm hoping this week will change your mind about the city :)

I took the tour of Comuna 13 2 years ago and when we are on the top and I was looking over the city I knew I was going to move there. Thanks for the visit.

I love that you don’t include many videos/pictures personally I think this type of videos are better because still leaves room for surprises and adventure once I’m visiting the country 🙌🙌🙌

Some other suggestions: Tour the Botanical Gardens, check out the awesome views from Mirador Picacho, bike or walk up Cerro Volador, take the Real City walking tour of barrio Moravia, paragliding in San Felix for the especially adventurous...

Very Cool video and itinerary. I have joined a hiking group here in Medellin and will go on my first hike on Saturday. I will use your list here to start going out checking out the area. Do you have any tours to recommend for Guatape? Would love to connect for a coffee some time.

I've never actually done a tour to Guatape - I like to do things myself so I just took the bus and then climbed up the rock lol But if you just search on Google and check the ratings you'll find plenty of great options for tours!

Thanks for the itinerary. I heard that Guatape is closed because part of La Piedra collapsed.

Yes I did hear about that. The rock might be closed but I'm not sure if the town is too - I made this video before the collapse. But yes definitely best to check before you head there 👍🏾

Very informative video! A question. How safe/unsafe is it to walk around with a camera and do some casual street/landscape photography?

It depends how valuable your camera is to you. I personally don't even take paid video jobs for clients wanting to film in the street because there's definitely a chance you could lose it if you're unlucky.

@@AKJoel Thanks for the insight. I've been to Medellín once in 2018 and didnt feel particularly unsafe back then. Probably because I blended in quite well (brown skin, speak a little spanish). However as you said, you never know when you get unlucky. I'll use my B cam instead :)
