You could also try going to a county auction. There will be plenty old vics out there. It probably doesn't stop with crown vics, though. Ford had 2 keys for everything forever. I had a 94 Taurus, 89 and 91 f150, same set up. I think it's limited to older fords, though, fyi. It will not work on anything in the later 00's. Probably not passed 02-04 ish. Everything went to chipped keys

People saying about the padlock shims being caltrops haven't tried making the bowtie pattern caltrops 😅 i have, easier to cut some heavy welded steel mesh using the knipex compact cutters and bending to resemble the toy "jacks" use a remgrit file on the diagonal points for extra pointedness, also wrap steel around the shell and secure with stout wire for increased efficiency. Tips from a troubled 80s and 90s childhood lol

Great kit for all your urban scavenger entry adventures for any SHTF scenario's that might come your way. 2 additional additions id like to suggest would be a rare Earth magnet ( nothing huge but something that you could attach to some paracord or bank line ) to retrieve items from holes or inaccessible area's and also one of those mini grapple hooks that screw together again for retrieving items from holes or for foul hooking items from above. ( A little expensive for what they are especially over here in the U.K!!!) but definitely a handy piece of kit to carry that could get you out of a tight spot. ATB Rob 🇬🇧👍

Ok, so that first item I believe is a trip alarm possibly for use with the shotgun shell. Second item is maybe a tire punch or something to step on when put in front of a window or walkway. Kind of like the micro machines in the home alone movie. Addendum: Now after watching through the whole thing I see that it was a trip alarm for the shotgun shell and flare. After reading the comments I see the right answer was Padlock shims for those small metal bits. Something I have never seen before. Love it when I learn something new! Thank you for putting this together and excellent loadout with this little kit.

I live in a rather *intense* urban public housing project. Last April it was 4:50 AM. As I opened the door to let my dog out in the front porch there were 4 military dressed SWAT in single file getting ready to do forced entry in the apartment next door. It took less than 10 seconds to pry open the gate and the door. What you have is a toy indeed. You need to clear your White suburban mind of those thoughts. The street is real😢. I don't even carry a weapon with me. Don't have to.

used to see that on the regular when I lived next door to Section 8 housing. those boys are rolling with wrecking bars designed for violent forced entry using speed and saving lives as well. my mini prybar is not intended nor designed for such action. that being said...why don't you carry?

@@TheSurvivalOutpost I live in a region where there is heavy drug war with automatic rifles and the typical carjacking is done by three guys, two with pistols and a rifle. I don't have a vehicle and at 61 walk up to three miles one way to a Walmart. I'm in above average shape...my medical exam revealed blood pressure of 112/72 & heart rate 74. My main assets are character and politeness. And that brings respect. I was homeless living out of tents and a minivan for years. During those years I met a Kongo Staff priest and we became good friends. He once told me that I do well because I don't do drugs and am not rude. Whatever happens I am confident that I can talk to somebody and get assistance if needed. I would discourage anyone from carrying such a kit in times of eroding civil liberties. Better carry a water bladder, chlor floc and some coconut charcoal.

I’ve used that pry tool to bust open doors in urban areas from the states, Middle East to Africa. In seconds, leaving my wrecking bar on my back. It’s not just the tool, it’s the skill set. Situation dictates. Relax and open your mind. Your mindset doesn’t last long in non permissive environments. And before you give me a speech about the hard streets, I grew up in East Oakland before I joined the Corps, so spare the “street stories”.

So you tell everyone what everything is for, except for the zip ties (flex cuffs). Is that because you're only carrying them because everyone else who thinks it looks cool in movies does, or perhaps you think that one day you're going to need to take a prisoner? Zip ties are definitely good to have but flex cuffs, aside from binding someone for whatever incredibly unlikely reason, are too big to do much of anything useful. Things the need to be held together or patched up are better off with smaller zip ties. Unless there's a reason other than detaining terrorist, it seems silly to carry those and the two things people carry, that they see in pictures, movies, and videogames, are flex cuffs and chem sticks. Anyway, also, a shotgun shell on that primer tool isn't going to hurt anyone. When small arms rounds are struck, outside of a barrel, they pop and the projectiles fly a couple of feet, not fast enough to enter anything and barely hurt. I know this from first hand experience. You need a barrel if you want them to actually act as intended. What you could do is carry a 6 inch pipe/barrel with your pack that it the correct diameter of the shell and set it up in a way that connects to the primer tool and face it in the desired direction. Not trying to be a prick but you have to be careful with misinforming and ill-advising people. It'd be a shame if someone thought that shell could defend em against a hope intruder and end up killed because it won't.
