Insects are a healthy, sustainable and tasty alternative to conventional meat. They can be cultivated under far more appropriate conditions than 'big' farm animals, their production uses little space and emits a fraction of the CO2 - they can even be fed biological waste-products from hop and wheat. So why not think differently and try something new for once?

Switzerland has been the first European country to legalise insects for commercial food production. Essento is a startup that produces food from edible insects. We are pushing a frontier to a more sustainable, ethical and healthy way of food-production, as well as uncharted culinary horizons.
My point is not to make you buy their products, nor even necessarily to have you eat insects (although I would recommend trying some). Just be mindful of what you eat, how you live and what you consume! Two generations ago we didn't blow ourselves up. One generation ago we invented computers. I believe we, the generation more connected through social media, the internet and the ever rising accessibility to travels and cultural exchange - we could be the generation that actually saves the planet!
