Do I use essere or average for this sentence and why. I'm confused. Luigi ___ partito la settimana scorsa. Grazie millie.

Ciao! Thank you for your question. The verb partire requires essere to form its passato prossimo, and other compound tenses. Therefore the sentence should read as: Luigi è partito la settimana scorsa. Other verbs of movement that require essere are: andare, venire, arrivare, and tornare. Happy Coffee Breaking! 😊
