I purchased mine new when I was in high school, somewhere between 1990-1992. I got it on Black Friday for $99.99. Still using it!

Love your video. I have the same machine but , its the 4832C. I'm having trouble trying to figure out where to oil it. As the manual shows it for 4830 and 4832 singer machines. My top does not come off. Any help greatly appreciated Thank you

No that clear piece fits over the plate under the needle its for buttons

This was a long time ago. I think I just started unscrewing screws and putting oil on all the moving parts. I sold it pretty quickly.
