You make me want to go to estate sales/auctions/antique/thrift stores. Haven’t been in years!!! Funny story since you are as annoyed as I am at male comments when tool shopping. I used to work at a hardware/gardening store 16 years ago when I was 18/19 and in school for advanced woodworking and furniture design. People would call and ask for a woodworking expert and calls were directed to me, and a lot of men wouldn’t outright say they didn’t want to get advice from me, but would ask multiple times/comment they wanted to speak to a woodworking expert. So I started putting them on hold, saying I’d get someone, go hep some customers, grab a drink, take a breath, and go back to the phone after making them wait a long time on hold, lower my voice and say it was Andrew… boy Andrew got a lot of calls to management complementing their help/expertise, which confused management since no Andrew worked there. In store, when the old men that worked there were asked about woodworking stuff and they directed customers to me instead, it was better-ish, though annoying that a man had to vouch for my skills. - though the men I worked with were phenomenal and supportive.

The She Shed estate sale was for my bonus grandma. I agree that she was the coolest woman ever! So creative, kind, and loving 😍 I loved seeing you appreciate her too!

The trench coat looks fantastic on you! I don’t think it’s too big at all; I actually love the shape! But if you wanted to cinch it, you could get a matching sash belt from a cheap jacket at the thrift store and just sew one thread belt loop on the back to keep it handy ☺️

OMGOSH!!! The spice rack is exactly the same as I received as a wedding present back in 1978. LOVED IT!!! Brought back many memories. Hubby and I divorced in 1979 and remarried in 1994. Still together to this day. We were kids. I was 17 and he was 19 in 1978. We had to grow to be the best for each other. We always kept in contact. Have a GREAT DAY!!!

I think the trench coat looked great on you. It doesn’t look sloppy, and it’s roomy enough to layer. It might be cold so I would definitely take a couple of sweaters. We went to Europe in May of 2019 and Paris was freezing. We ended up buying a toque in Paris from a street vendor.

The trench looks great. Keep in mind, cold in england is a damp bone chilling cold because of humidity. Layers are a must so the extra room in the trench will allow you to wear a bulking warm sweater. Have a great time Europe!

I think it's better that it's a little big as there will be room for sweaters underneath if needed.Also, that little broom is called a whisk broom, that's what us older folk used to use before they made the plastic ones with the nylon bristles.

The painting at 7:53 is The Cornfield by John Constable who was a British romanticism painter (and also one of my favourite painters). You should definitely look up some of his other paintings, e.g Salisbury Cathedral From The Meadows (my favourite!) and The White Horse etc. if you like the style of it. He obviously made a lot of landscape paintings and he was really obsessed with clouds and other atmospheric phenomenons and all of his paintings are just so gorgeous!

Love the yellow on you. I buy outerwear travel clothes loose so I can layer because cool morning and sometimes cold nights and it’s not like you can run home and change. Plus restricted movement is terrible for shopping and sightseeing when going in and out.

I had a trench coat exactly like that way back in 1967 or 68. Wore it to work in the city. Was an all weather coat with a zip out lining. Yours looked nice on you. Not too big looking. Some of the stuff you’re attracted to in your search are things I had or my mother had in our homes. I still love that stuff.

As for the cold weather, it's currently around 15°C over here in Germany which makes me slowly switch from winter coat to something lighter. I'd recommend travelling with a 3 in 1 kind of jacket, or good layering you can adjust the warmth of. And definitely plan for something rain proof. The weather is rather unpredictable in spring. Enjoy your holiday!!
