Thank you for this tutorial! I am trying to build one to guide my students through the process, and the instructions that come with it are complete gibberish! I glued the spacer to the wrong end and attached the ailerons incorrectly because the instructions were incredibly vague

They are gibberish and confusing because I kept trying to read the French and Spanish instructions. There wasn't enough info in each step from what they gave us.

I usually apply the glue in the tube with a stick so it is only where I need it and also I put the motor mount in from the aft end and use the yellow tool to help space it the correct amount from the end. I haven't been able to get a wizard or goblin kit because there always sold out at the hobby store.

I'm an old school rocketeer and I still learned something, letting the glue on the fins first is genius! I also like that blue color you chose, it really looked good in the light. What was it called?

Great, glad you were able to learn from the video! The spray paint was Ace, Premium, Paint + Primer, Gloss Enamel, Royal Blue.

I have a quick question. The website says I need plastic cement and carpenters glue to build. Do I really need both or just the wood glue?

The only reason for contact cement is gluing together the two piece plastic nose cone. It may work with wood glue, but wood glue is not designed for adhering plastic pieces together. If you dont want to buy two separate glues just buy Elmer's glue all and it will work for the whole rocket. Just make sure you extend the shock cord as it will help prevent the nose cone pieces from separating.

The instructions say you need wadding. What kind of paper can be used for wadding?

The wadding you buy from Estes works really well. If you can't get that then non-flammable crepe paper can also be used.

The decals are water slide decals. You soak it in water, when the paper gets soaked it releases the decal. You can wet the surface you apply it to and slide it around in the right spot. They can be very tricky. I suggest using scrap pieces of it to practice before the actual ones. After you get out where you want it, let it dry. You can towel it off but dab only as they can still slide around.

These are stickers, not decals. He’d never get a decal to peel off let alone stick.
