In this video, I show you how to easily use your Android Phone Or Tablet as a Screen for your Raspberry Pi 400 Raspberry Pi 4 Raspberry pi 3 or basically an HDMI enabled device from the Xbox to Nintendo Switch or even a Mini Computer.
This involves perching a cheap USB to HDMI capture card and a USB type C to Female USB cable but in the end, it works great and can come in really handy on the go!

I just read that post yesterday! I had already ordered my HDMI in to USB out dongle. Note to anyone else doing this: There are plenty of USB hub or USB in > HDMI out devices, they will most likely not work for this. Seemed like a cool idea for a bunch of things. You keep making these vids and I'll keep watching, solid content as usual.

That's what I was wondering. I have a couple old OLPC XO tablets that are pretty much useless for anything else. It would be nice if I could use the HDMI port as HDMI in, but as a dirt-cheap device, it is extremely unlikely to have 2-way capability. I had wanted to set up something like this to display my calendar on my work laptop (no, the laptop display plus two external monitors isn't enough)

Hey ! Great Content ! I have a little situation that I wish you can help me with. I was wondering if you can use an android phone/tablet as an operating system for a laptop. Can you use an android as a bootable device for a laptop. For instance, I have a 2014 Moto X2 with a messed up battery (it suddenly turns off when unplugged from charging) and I also have an old laptop that I wish to use a monitor and a keyboard. I know there is something that may be useful like the experimental desktop mode in Android under the Developer Options. What I basically mean is can you convert and old laptop into something like “Nex Dock 2” ? What do you recommend ? Thanks in advance.
