Love seeing a different type of video! I just wanted to mention Farmers Insurance is not only for farmers (though it did begin that way about 100 years ago!) They mainly provide auto, home, and life insurance to everyone.

There are definitely more than 6 types. Like even within these categories she listed are pricing v valuation actuaries and many other subcategories

Salaries vary a lot depending on how many people you end up managing

Good point, Paul! It's hard to convey just how much salary can vary, but if you get into management, there can definitely be a big jump!

QFI Actuary - these actuaries are valued in the finance world(outside of insurance companies) without CFA? Also were in Canada would offer this type of experience ?!

Thanks you for this awesome content! And I have a question as well. i want to focus on casualty insurance in the future but i'm now starting to take examination of SOA from P and FM. Should i switch to taking exams of CAS now(there are still 2-3 years before i need to get a full-time job but I'm worried about whether it will affect my finding internship in casualty insurance company )

Thanks for your kind words! I understand your concern. It's great that you're already thinking ahead. Since you have a few years before you need a full-time job, you might consider switching to CAS exams if you're sure about focusing on casualty insurance. Employers in this field often prefer candidates with CAS exams. But, completing SOA exams won't hurt your chances for internships either, as they demonstrate your strong actuarial foundation. Go with what aligns best with your long-term goals. Good luck with your studies!

I appreciate your videos very much. Thank you! I’m just curious about one thing, the dozens of jump cuts. Are those intentional? They’re distracting and unnatural and make it a little more difficult to watch.
