One of the things I liked about this scene was that it showed why Makkari loves humanity so much. She doesn't see how all humans are bad like Sprite does or turns her back up on humanity like Phastos did. Despite all the hardships, all the fighting and various challenges humanity faced throughout history, humanity always pushed forward with no care. But when it really came down to the Snap, people had to wake up, pull together and make sacrifices to return to their lives. Had Tony, Natasha or Cap or the other Avengers done what they did, it would all be for naught.

They should’ve kept this scene. One of my major issues with the film is why a character like Kingo, who is the most integrated in human culture out of all of them, and even has a friend on earth would not care to see it destroyed, but characters like Makari and Thena care about humanity with no explanation, when they arguably have been the least attached to humanity over the centuries. Makari was on the ship by herself, Thena was only with Gilgamesh, this scene fixes half of that issue.

When I think I can't fall more for makkari they give us this scene.

Making the events of Endgame a sort of thematic underpinning of this movie was genius, and while the talk between Ajak and Ikaris already got the point across, I like this scene reiterating it as this big reason to have faith in humanity.

I love Makkari's face expressions. She's like an animated character. She shows way more emotion than any of the actors. Especially the women. Also her sign language is so fluent. For someone who's born deaf, Lauren Ridloff is one amazing actress.

The only little detail I would've added here is for Makkari to add that Thanos was one of them, and humanity managed to defeat him in the end. It would've confirmed that Thanos is definitely one of the Eternals (like the comics) and be a bit of a bomb for the casual fans to learn that Thanos was not only one of the Eternals, but the strongest and gave another straightforward reason as to why the other Eternals didn't step in. I see why they didn't, and the flashback scene with Ajak and Ikaris, and the post-credit scene with Eros seem to let others learn those details.

so most of the deleted scenes were Sprite's scenes, kinda feel bad for the actress.

Makkari is the best character in the movie, even better than Sersi, Druig, and Phastos. You can’t convince me otherwise.

Why did they cut this scene from the movie? I feel like this scene explains so much why the Eternals loved humans so much that they had to save humanity.

Why did they cut this scene? It brings together this movie's themes and answers the movie's biggest question, which I think was the biggest thing missing from the film, some sort of interesting exploration or answer to the question of whether humanity was worth saving.

The beautiful and scary thing about eternals I always find. Mankind was saved because beings so god like grew so fond of us and fell in love with us that they believed we deserved a chance

This scene elevates the whole movie, and adds more substance to the reason why they thought humans were worth saving. Keep in mind, for them, this was the next logical evolution of their mission, they are literally suppose to protect humans.

If I can just make one simple point. it wasn't 'just' Humanity that fought to stop Thanos and bring back half the universe. Elaboration: Nebula wasn't Human. Thor wasn't human. Rocket wasn't human. And that's before the snap was undone. And a ton of other non-humans joined the fight against Thanos on Earth to prevent him from literally destroying the whole universe. Thor was willing to undo the Snap and was only talked out of it when it was revealed that Hulk was the only one who might actually survive the process. This hero worship Humanity not only feels out of place in the grand scale of the MCU, but also a bit self-serving.

Why does everyone say the Avengers saved half the universe?? Yes, if they had defeated Thanos in 2019, they would have, but defeating the 2014 Thanos in 2023 saved the entire universe, as Thanos literally said “I will shred this universe down to its last atom.”

Sprite saying how Humanity has done terrible things makes me wonder that we are really going backwards.

A god like being builds an army of human like machines to protect actual humans from his mistakes so more god like beings can be created. But for some reason he builds one of them to communicate with sign language.
