If you guys wonder about Ikaris betrayal, it's not like he didn't care about his friends or people of Earth. His obedience toward Arishem's order is what make him questioning the Eternals way now that they have bonded with the Poeple of Earth. His sense of Loyalty is what drive him to become like this.

And that's why Ikaris doesn't deserve to be the leader because he always follows orders and never thinks for himself, plus he is not very bright, he literally confessed his crimes to the whole team, when he could have worked in the shadows.
