Thor: Love and Thunder revealed the cosmic entity Eternity is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And while a giant, meditating space god might seem like it came out of nowhere, the hints of the Eternity revealed were planted all the way back in Thor, Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. In this video we break down the secret connections between the Infinity Gauntlet, Stormbreaker, Odin, and the embodiment of all that is: Eternity.

#ThorLoveAndThunder #Eternity #Strombreaker
The biggest reveal in Thor Love and Thunder is Eternity.
Just like that, Eternity is in the MCU.
The embodiment of the universe is just sitting there, at the center of the universe, in his water-world reality.
Granting wishes like some genie.
Well, it’s the one wish only, apparently.
To reach Eternity, you need a key. And the key is strombreaker. Well, not exactly, it’s the energy the magical ax summons, the bifrost bridge.
You need the bifrost to enter Eternity’s realm, and to summon the biforst you need strombreaker.
It’s a little more complicated than that, and don’t worry we will explain it all in this video.
But if the bifrost is the key, then we have to ask: how and why is that the case?
What is so special about the rainbow bridge?
What’s its connection to Eternity?
And also, who’s responsible for all of this?
Well, we uncovered something huge about the bifrost’s connection to Eternity.
The answer was right under our noses ever since the very first Thor movie, and none of us saw it. Till now.
And if we are correct, this huge reveal could unveil a massive mystery that will explain the secret history of the Marvel universe. Trust me, I’m not over-hyping this, this theory is gonna be wild.
Ok, so let’s quickly go over the rules Love and Thunder establishes about Eternity, and how to reach him.
Valkyrie describes him as a very powerful entity at the center of the universe. He will grant the wish of the first person who reaches it.
Just one wish, a very stingy genie if you ask me.
To reach Eternity, you must first travel to the center of the universe, and then enter his realm through his statue.
But the portal to the water-world is locked, the key is the bifrost.
Now you might be confused on why Gorr needs strombreaker.
That’s because strombreaker is the only object in the universe that can summon the bifrost.
Asgard was destroyed, and so was the rainbow bridge. Making strombreaker the only way to reach Eternity.
Well, there’s also Heimdall’s convenient ability to summon the bridge right before his death.
Strombreaker might not be the key, but I still think there is importance to the ax, beyond its ability to summon the bifrost, and we will get to it a little later in the video.
The reason why the bifrost is the key, is because of the seal on Eternity’s statue

Odin's quest for the Infinity Stones would make for a great prologue (Thor 5?). Unlike Thanos, Odin couldn't sacrifice the one he loved for the Soul Stone, as it would bar them from entering Valhalla, so he abandoned his thirst for power and became one of the universe's greatest protectors.

From Infinity War, "the soul stone requires a sacrifice... you must lose what you love." Not "who" but "what", not specifically a loved one/person. I believe it could be a person or quest or oneself, etc. Ultimate self sacrifice. Yes, the quote does go on to "a soul, for a soul," so I could be all wet.

It could be fun. Though I think the ScreenCrush theory was that Odin used the stones to create that test so he wouldn't have needed to sacrifice anything because the test didn't exist until he made it. It's even possible that he made it that so that he himself couldn't get the soul stone since he knew he wouldn't sacrifice that which he loved.

Bifrost (rainbow bridge)... A rainbow has multiple colors. Multicolored infinity stones... Physical manifestations of aspects of the universe. The Bifrost uses the energy of the universe to move people around and hence the reason it was needed to reach Eternity since that entity is the concept of the universe made into a single being.

I like this theory, yet it annoys me when Odin, and asgard are barely looked upon with any great respect, considering the respect Odin apparently had in the universe being called the all father, having had at least 2 infinity stones(that we know of) and the interactions he and thor have had in saving the universe, yet The grand master had never heard of them, and in omnipotent city, no one recognised him, and Zeus barely acknowledged Odins death with any respect, considering how relevant the bifrost seems to be in accessing eternity. The mistake they made was in the first thor, making the events with the dark elves and borr only a couple thousand years ago, and then thor saying to surtur, "didnt my father kill you like a million years ago." Also making zeus the oldest and wisest and most powerful was a mistake, when Odin clearly had more wisdom and demanded more respect and fear from his enemies. Where as zeus was a joke and showed little wisdom or strength, in comparison. The mcu is all over the place, when it comes to stuff like this

@@TheBaBaTV To _which_ comics exactly? Since when does long-term continuity matter to comic writers? Over the decades, every comic series has multiple story arcs, often retelling or retconning previous arcs, or just ignoring them to tell other stories without bothering to answer which of the origin stories or continuities is relevant to a current arc. But in the case of the Thor and Asgard comics, yes they've always had differences from the mythology, but always been more-or-less based on and paying homage to the mythology.

I think Tony Stark’s arc reactor is powered by a synthetic infinity stone. It was a “new element” he created in Ironman 2 using his fathers research… his father’s work on Project Pegasus which was working with the Space Stone. This would also explain why Loki’s scepter, using the Mind Stone, didn’t work on Tony in Avengers 2012 when Loki tried to control Tony’s mind. One infinity stone was countered by another. The mind stone couldn’t overpower Tony’s synthetic Space Stone.

We really need a theory on the MCU's cosmology, in terms of which groups of immortal, timeless beings are a higher or lower orders than other groups. Are Celestials more powerful than whatever Eternity is? Can the Infinity Stones defeat Celestials? Are Asgardians (and Greek and Egyptian gods, etc) more like men, or more like one of these higher order beings? Can a lower order being become a higher order one? Are their multiversal versions of each Celestial/Eternity/etc, and if so how does that effect their various existences? So many questions. And in the Marvel comics there is actually a One-God type figure, an inscrutable being that rules over all of the above in every multiverse, though no one knows anything about him. Of course the MCU likely won't bring that into play, but it's there if they really want it.

The One Above All was considered to be Stan Lee, or Jack Kirby. Powers of the universe top to bottom: Tribunal - Eternity, Infinity, Chaos and Order - Galactus - Celestials. The Stones have the power to destroy the Celestials, but would require someone far more capable than Thanos(movie wise, not comics) as the Celestials would likely be prepared to stop him. Also, the Stones cannot affect, nor work in other universes. Hence in the drawer in the Loki series.

This theory is absolutely brilliant although it kind of falls apart at the end there with the leaving the door open and the death of Eternity idea. (Seriously, Secrets Wars is becoming your Mephisto) The only holes in it are the timing of Odin gathering all the stones while Bor's still alive and Thor's lightning powering Stormbreaker's lightning. I think finding the space stone was Prince Odin's first great quest and Odin didn't go searching for the remaining Infinity Stones until after Bor's death and he became king. And how does Gorr use Stormbreaker's bifrost if it is powered by Thor's lightning? I say it isn't Thor that powers Stormbreaker's bifrost. The original bifrost was built by Asgardians and drew power from Asgard but Stormbreaker was designed and created by the dwarves millennia later and they are much better cosmic engineers than the Asgardians. Stormbreaker is self-sustaining hence why Gorr could use it. Also, I believe Odin enhanced himself and others with the Infinity Stones before he split them up again. Hence why he, Hela, Thor and Heimdall all have greater powers than the average Asgardian. Frigga and Loki and others had to learn magic for their powers. The average Asgardian just seems to be virtually immortal and superhuman physically, like Sif and the Warriors Three. Odin could have just empowered himself and it passed down to his children Hela and Thor, and granted Heimdall his power (from the space or soul stone) which we see he passed down to his son.
@RJ1J
@RJ1J Жыл бұрын
This is interesting. What gets confusing in the MCU is that amazing powers are sometimes linked to stones or weapons, other times they are abstract and 'just there' with no real explanation. Case in point when Heimdall asked the Asgardian gods give him the power of the Bi-frost to send Hulk to Earth (That annoyed me a bit, seemed like a plot contrivance). How did that happen? Before then, he needed the huge contraption. So where did that energy come from? Are these gods in Valhalla? Are they intervening. They certainly massively help in Infinity War. I wish there was a little bit more explanation in the MCU about this issue, like this video (Which has a few mistakes you pointed out) . How and why are special powers granted, used, obtained and what is their source? Was Thor exposed to the space stone like Captain Marvel? And how/why is a power granted and used in different ways (Which is what Ryan is trying to figure out partly).
@spiderhamilton1
@spiderhamilton1 Жыл бұрын
@@RJ1J In the Avengers, when Loki and Thor are talking on the rock before the fight with Iron Man, Loki asks how much dark magic did Odin call upon to get Thor back to earth. Heimdall called upon the "dark gods" to open a bifrost. Those dark gods and dark magic could be the 4 entities that created the Infinity Stones that we saw on Morag that include Eternity. Or the dark gods/magic could be from outside our dimension like Dormammu in the Dark Dimension. In the comics, Those Who Sit Above In Shadow are entities sort of worshipped and invoked like gods by the Asgardians so the dark magic/gods could be them. Unfortunately, all of these plot holes can't be plugged lol

@BYERE okay, but, what if, he who remains, every time when manipulating time ( when it comes to celestials, eternity or, even Odin ) couldn't quite succed because while he was doing it, every time he wanted to manipulate something while Odine is alive, Odin would have seen it through the time stone ( not "he who remains" but the events and changing of the structure and consequences ) so he would then counteract and slide it to his or Asgard and Thors advantage? It's quite a mind vreaker and twisting paralel and multuvers WTF, but, it's kinda what it would be. Its not Dr Strange looking through time stone its legit GOD ( big G ) who evolved ( lost an eye for gaining wisdom, hey maybe because interactions with troubles "he who remains" caused whilist Odin was alive time ), who ( if we take this theory as a canon ) stroke a deal with eternity, embodiment of the universe...and he who remains how much he can manipulate time can't be stronger than eternity. Don't forget eternity made universe, and therefor made "the time" as its part of functioning. Soooo This theory is cool, and really true to the MCU we've seen so far

Oh snap dude... So if you can’t see past your own death into the future using the Time Stone, and that limitation wasn’t particular to the Ancient One for some reason, then that means the only potential futures that Doctor Strange was able to evaluate were realties where he lived all the way up until Thanos was defeated. So there may have been more than just one outcome where Thanos was defeated - but Strange was unable to see those, because in those timelines, he himself would die at some point along the way! I bet Dr Nic West would be interested to hear this.

I think it would make sense that the Space Stone was in the possession of the Asgardian Kings for, possibly generations. I don't think everything has to come back to Odin though, alot of these points could be things that were established by earlier Asgardian Kings like Bor. I will say its weird that they are going out of their way to retcon (possibly) the godly status of Asgardians, in the earlier videos they were not real gods, but just advanced and powerful aliens, but now they are gods confirmed, but they are not immortal like other depicted gods, and bleed red blood while all the other gods we see bleed Gold, and only the most powerful of Asgardians appear to disperse into particles when they die, while all the other gods we see die do anyways.

Odin never used the reality stone or "built the universe". This is proven by the fact that he tried to "hide" the stones instead of using them to get rid of them (like Thanos did). Why would Odin keep them around if he supposedly used them and decided they were too powerful? Answer: he didn't. Fun theory though
@bronsonluks795

I’m pretty sure that’s covered in the time stone part, he would see that they’re needed for certain aspects of the safer future to play out correctly, and if I remember correctly, didn’t thanos using the stones to destroy the stones seriously fuck him up? I doubt he’d wanna leave his kingdom without a strong ruler. And what if they needed them to defend asguard? Better to have it hidden than not have them at all. Now I personally don’t buy alll the stuff they were saying but a lot of it does make sense. Not to mention it’s literally confirmed that the space stone was in their possession and was chosen to be hidden away. it’s really not that far fetched when you realize it was definitely done with at least one, so why not the rest?

Great theory's. Only downside is alot of Odin's supposed visions of the future happened after his death, and as you stated the Time stone won't let u see past your own death. So Odin couldn't have set up things like imbuing stormbreaks mould with the space stone coz he wouldn't have known about it. Unless of course I missed something.

You say one cannot see further than one's own death, but afterwards you say that Odin saw things that happened after his death. You have to decide which theory you use, you can't do both. You also say at first that the Bifrost is created, but at the end you say that it is summoned. Again, one thing is wrong here. I'm assuming you don't create the Bifrost, just summon it. In addition, the center of the universe does not necessarily have to have been built by Odin. Otherwise good video.

@@ked49 Yes, but let's take your comparison. A simple computer is enough to use the Internet. In order to set up the Internet, however, you need an incredibly large infrastructure. Bifrost requires an Infinity Stone, this incredibly powerful axe, or something similar. What do you think it would take to create such power in the first place? It's more likely that the Bifrost was a part of the universe from the start and Odin just summons it.
