cool video, but I wanted to point out that at 22:22, the blob with the crown *is* actually visible during the boss fight, who is at the right-most part of the huge mass. You can see her wearing her crown, though, like you mentioned, whether that specific crown-wearing blob is the queen is up for debate.

it would be interesting if the gungeon is in a constant state of being destroyed and then re-appearing due to its paradoxical nature. always tearing its self apart from its paradoxical nature while at the same time never truly being allowed to disappear or be truly destroyed.

My theory is that every time the gungeon is destroyed that it rebuilds itself. And whenever a espcially catostrphic event happens the process can result in an extremely different gungeon, like rebuilding a lego set from memory and while it comes out alright on a surface level something about it has ended up different. This effect could extend to the planet itself, and maybe even the gungeon timeline, but who knows?

I think this game should get a VR port. Just imagine this arcadey shooter with a superb art style in VR, and it's a great business decision cause of how few arcade machines there are.

My theory on the why of the ending is that after Exit the Gungeon, due to the gungeon’s own curse and how it can mess with space and time, it may have forced itself into a state that was just barely stable enough to not collapse again, but due to the cannon fire right under the foundation and us then flying a mothership out from under it, the gungeon began to collapse again and now without proper foundation actually fell, and all the gunpowder and magic inside, now released, detonated and took the planet with it.

The flak gun is a reference to the flak cannon from the unreal series and in game it's a "shotgun" for it's primary fire it detonates a grenade inside the barrel firing shrapnel ricocheting projectiles like a shotgun and just fires the grenade with its secondary fire. I would kill for this one to be in the pc enter the gungeon game

i think the Gunnuts holding barrels like in 16:06 are a reference to F A T and muscular zombies doing the same on the House of the Dead games, were upon entering a room with them they always attacked with a barrel or some other kind of furniture before charging at you i mean, its not line THOTD series invented guys throwing barrels, but it could be a neat reference

To be honest it makes sense for the Gungeon timeline to make no sense, because Gungeon at its core is a game about altering timelines.

The Auto-9 pistol is a direct reference to the gun Robocop uses. Also the flavor text "Your move, creep" is a line said by Robo in the first movie.

Im gonna say this game takes place at the exact same time as exit the gungeon, in exit the gungeon the place is never really seen crumbling, (outside of a single cutscene at the beginning) it just feels that way because we are rapidly moving, it only really starts collapsing by the time we leave. Super space turtle has likely already escaped the gungeon many times since hes already outside when you get to the glocktopus, the only issue is how super space turtle is leaving the gungeon in the main crew's ship and lamey's ship at the same time, but that could be fixed with simple retcon.

Pretty sure the 6th gun that the Boholster wields in the art is a Luger. The boxy shape with the protruding barrel gives it away for me. It's the same gun used by Max in the Sam & Max series, as well as the Lugermorph weapon from Team Fortress 2 that was based on said series. Also, the Eye of the Beholster *is* a revolver, so he technically always does have a revolver :p

The sixth gun the beholster holds looks to be a Mauser broomstick a German sidearm in ww2

This made me want to dive in the gungeon again, the lore is so fascinating

The fact the High Priest took the Dragun's spot in the Forge, and that in Exit the Gungeon the Last Dragun is fought outside the Gungeon (and therefore managed to escape its walls), and of course if this game IS like theorized happening after Exit the Gungeon... then I'm led to believe the High Dragun is officially out of the loop created by the Gungeon, especially if said loop has severely weakened after the collapse of the Gungeon in Exit, and that therefore it may just be the first Enter the Gungeon character to have suffered an indefinitely lingering death. While this is really cool, I hope that doesn't mean the Dragun won't return. The Dragun is too big a staple of the Gungeon franchise to be offed like this and probably one of my favorite characters and bosses. It would suck to not see it return for such a reason. Maybe the baby Dragun (aka the Ancient Serpent) could grow up to become the new Dragun of the Forge if given enough time? That would actually be a very neat way to maintain the presence of the High Dragun in the Gungeon while still keeping factual the death of the previous Dragun. There's a lot to do in terms of story-telling and lore with the concept of such a character dying for good in a rogue-like franchise like Enter the Gungeon, I'm hopeful.

ok so i have a theory that the place while falling apart, the blobs who survived fused into the queen and worked as a sorta nervous system, the ship acting as a form of implanted heart, and well once they kill the one controlling the heart the place starts to fall apart the reason why i dont say its before is due to none of the other characters present... implying they left or cant really leave (sir manual)

I would say the overall most obnoxious thing gungeon is the seeming insistence on making stuff like the book they released and this game extremely inaccessible. Somebody needs to crack this game sooner rather than later. I’d love to give the money for it, but they seem to not want mine.
